Laminate, antireflection product having three-dimensional curved surface, and method of manufacturing antireflection product
A laminate includes a substrate; and a layer (a) containing particles forming a specific uneven shape, the number of particles present on the surface of the layer (a) is 6.3 to 20 per 1 μm.sup.2, and a heat shrinkage rate of the laminate in a case of being heated for one hour at a glass transition temperature of the substrate+10° C. is 20% or more and less than 70%. An antireflection product has a three-dimensional curved surface having a curvature radius of 1 to 1,000 mm, and has a specific uneven shape formed of particles on the three-dimensional curved surface, the number of metal oxide particles present on the three-dimensional curved surface is 9 to 40 per 1 μm.sup.2, and a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of reflectivities is less than 1.2%.
Anisotropy reduction in coating of conductive films
Provided herein is a device for forming a conductive film. The device includes a deposition device and an air supply. The deposition device is configured to form a wet film having conductive nanostructures and a fluid carrier on a web. The web is moved in a first direction while forming the wet film. The air supply is disposed at a side of the web and configured to apply an air flow onto the wet film. The air flow is directed onto the wet film in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction to reorient a direction of some conductive nanostructures in the wet film to define reoriented conductive nanostructures.
Sprayable water-based adhesive
Water-based adhesive compositions are improved by the incorporation of hollow polymeric microspheres having outer surfaces coated with one or more barrier materials such as calcium carbonate particles. The adhesive compositions exhibit enhanced rheology, sprayability, drying time, tack and storage stability as compared to analogous adhesives that are not modified with coated hollow polymeric microspheres. Such compositions are useful as both contact adhesives as well as wet bonding one-way adhesives.
Medical devices and implements with liquid-impregnated surfaces
Described herein are medical devices and medical implements with high lubricity to flesh (or biological fluid) and/or inhibited nucleation on its surface. The device has a surface comprising an impregnating liquid and a plurality of micro-scale and/or nano-scale solid features spaced sufficiently close to stably contain the impregnating liquid therebetween. The impregnating liquid fills spaces between said solid features, the surface stably contains the impregnating liquid between the solid features, and the impregnating liquid is substantially held in place between the plurality of solid features regardless of orientation of the surface.

Granule coated waterproof roofing membrane
A roofing membrane includes a membrane layer. An adhesive layer is adhered to a first side of the membrane layer and a layer of granules is adhered to the first adhesive layer.
Wave-length conversion inorganic member, and method for manufacturing the same
A wave-length conversion inorganic member can includes a base body and an inorganic particle layer on the base body. The inorganic particle layer can include particles of an inorganic wave-length conversion substance which is configured to absorb light of a first wave-length and to emit light of a second wave-length different from the first wave-length. The inorganic particle layer can include an agglomerate of a plurality of the particles. Each of the plurality of the particles are in contact with at least one of the other particles or the base body. A cover layer comprises an inorganic material, and the cover layer continuously covers a surface of the base body and surfaces of the particles. The inorganic particle layer has an interstice enclosed by the particles, or by the particles and one of the base body and the cover layer.
Highly reflective microcrystalline/amorphous materials, and methods for making and using the same
Compositions comprising highly reflective microcrystalline/amorphous materials are provided. In some instances, the highly reflective materials are microcrystalline or amorphous carbonate materials, which may include calcium and/or magnesium carbonate. In some instances, the materials are CO.sub.2 sequestering materials. Also provided are methods of making and using the compositions, e.g., to increase the albedo of a surface, to mitigate urban heat island effects, etc.
TWO-PHASE ALLOY, PRODUCT USING SAID TWO-PHASE ALLOY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID PRODUCT
An object of the invention is to provide: a two-phase alloy as a metal material that can be preferably utilized under circumstances of a temperature range and a high corrosion as in an oil well, the two-phase alloy having a high corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties that are equivalent or more than those of conventional ones, and saving a cost; a product of the two-phase alloy; and a method for producing the product. There is provided a two-phase alloy containing Cr as a major component and including two phases of an austenite phase and a ferrite phase in a mixed state. The alloy has a chemical composition containing: 34-70 mass % of Cr; 17-45 mass % of Ni; 10-35 mass % of Fe; 0.1-2 mass % of Mn; 0.1-1 mass % of Si; and impurities. The total content of the Ni and the Fe is 30-65 mass %.
Diamond coated tool
The present invention provides a diamond coated tool which is resistant to exfoliation at an interface between a base material and a diamond layer. The diamond coated tool of the present invention is a diamond coated tool including a base material and a diamond layer coating a surface of the base material, and characterized in that the surface of the base material has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of not less than 0.1 μm and not more than 10 μm and an average length of roughness profile elements RSm of not less than 1 μm and not more than 100 μm, and that the diamond layer has a plurality of cavities extending from a portion bordering on the base material in a crystal growth direction.
