Scent permeation container seal, container including said seal and methods of making said seal and said container
A seal for containers is provided that allows the scent or aroma from the substance within the container to come through, while preventing leakage of the substance from within the container and/or physical contact of the substance by the consumer. More particularly, a seal is provided having at least one slit scoring fewer than all of the layers of the seal. The slit(s) will allow a consumer to sniff the scent or aroma released through the slit, while the seal remains secured to the container, extending shelf life of the substance, and preventing leakage, as well as, contamination, damage and/or reduced volume caused by consumers sampling the products.
Bottle cutter
A bottle cutter has a body having two generally arcuate components connected to each other by straight parallel members permitting one component to slide relative to the other component between an open, non-cutting position and a closed, cutting position. Each arcuate component includes a plurality of an inwardly facing rollers that facilitate rotation of a bottle held by the bottle cutter in the closed, cutting position. A cutting wheel disposed on one of the two components cuts, or at least scores, the bottle as the bottle is rotated. If the bottle is only scored, separation of the top and bottom portions of the bottle may be effected using hot and cold water to induce differential thermal stresses in the glass. The edge may be finished or polished using sandpaper or any other suitable abrasive material.
Glass plate scribing apparatus
A scribing apparatus includes a horizontal table on which a glass plate is placed and fixed under vacuum suction; a feed screw and a Y-axis control motor 6 for moving the table along a pair of guide rails under scribe numerical control; a guide rail device body installed above the table along an X-axis direction; a carriage mounted on the guide rail device body so as to move in the X-axis direction while being guided; a feed screw and an X-axis control motor for moving the carriage in the X-axis direction under numerical control; and a scribe head installed on the carriage.
Workpiece dividing method
A workpiece dividing method for dividing a platelike workpiece into a plurality of individual chips. The workpiece dividing method includes a workpiece preparing step of preparing the platelike workpiece, at least one side of the workpiece being formed as a mat surface, a holding step of holding the workpiece on a holding surface of a chuck table in the condition where the mat surface of the workpiece is exposed, a cut groove forming step of cutting the mat surface of the workpiece held on the holding surface of the chuck table by using a cutting blade to thereby form a cut groove with a remaining portion, and a laser cutting step of applying a laser beam to the workpiece along the cut groove to thereby cut the remaining portion.
Glass plate scribing method
A scribing apparatus 1 includes a horizontal table 3 on which a glass plate 2 is placed and fixed under vacuum suction; a feed screw 5 and a Y-axis control motor 6 for moving the table 3 along a pair of guide rails 4 under scribe numerical control; a guide rail device body 7 installed above the table 3 along an X-axis direction; a carriage 8 mounted on the guide rail device body 7 so as to move in the X-axis direction while being guided; a feed screw and an X-axis control motor 9 for moving the carriage 8 in the X-axis direction under numerical control; and a scribe head 10 installed on the carriage 8.
Panel structure with scored and folded facing
A panel structure having a low-density core that can withstanding loads normal to a first primary surface, and a first facing of high-density sheet material that can extend along the first primary surface. The high-density sheet material can be laminated on the core such that the laminated core and facing cooperatively resist bending loads and loads along the primary surface. The first facing can extend from the first primary surface on a side of the core along a secondary surface, which can be non-parallel to the first primary surface. The first facing can bend along a score line between the first primary surface and the secondary surface.
