CONDUIT SPACE RECOVERY SYSTEM
Space in a conduit having at least one cable therein which is surrounded by a duct is recovered by longitudinally cutting the duct and removing the duct from around the cable. The duct may be pulled out of the conduit and past a blade to affect the cutting, or a blade may be pulled through the conduit to cut the duct while still in the conduit.
Cutting die apparatus and method
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally provide a cutting die system. The cutting die system includes a substrate, at least one blade, and an ejector coupled to the substrate. The ejector includes a compressible portion having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface. The bottom surface is coupled to the substrate and a protective layer is cured to the top surface. A method of die cutting a blank according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes directing a blank between a cutting die and an anvil, the cutting die comprising a substrate. An ejector coupled to the substrate is compressed between the cutting die and the blank. A scrap piece is cut from the blank as it passes between the cutting die and the anvil, and the scrap piece is ejected by releasing the compressed ejector.
Food package with pulling structures
A container for food includes an enclosure, a lid, and pulling structures. The enclosure includes an interior and an opening. The pulling structures pull food layers from each other. A last pulling structure may pull a bottom food layer from the interior. An opening partition member may separate the lid from a top food layer. Separating portions may seal against the interior of the enclosure. At least one of the pulling structures may extend from at least one of the separating portions to a grip. The grip may be positioned outside of the interior of the enclosure, at least when the container is in a storage configuration.
Cell cutting device for display devices
A cell cutting device that cuts a mother substrate for display devices includes a fixing unit configured to move in a state where the mother substrate for display devices is fixed on the fixing unit, a cutter configured to perform a cutting process on the mother substrate for display devices and the cutter faces a surface of the mother substrate during the cutting process, a cutter driving unit driving the cutter in a state where the cutter is fixed thereon, and a buffer member arranged on another surface of the mother substrate to correspond to the cutter. The other surface is opposite the surface facing the cutter.
PARTITIONED FOOD PACKAGE
A container for food includes an enclosure, a lid, and partition members. The enclosure includes an interior with a base portion and a perimeter portion. The perimeter portion includes one or more walls that extend between the base portion and an opening of the enclosure. The partition members separate food layers from each other. A base partition member separates a bottom food layer from the base portion of the interior. An opening partition member may separate the lid from a top food layer. The partition members include a separating portion with a perimeter that substantially locally matches a cross-sectional shape of the perimeter portion of the interior. The partition members each further include at least one pulling structure that extends from the separating portion to a grip. The grip may be positioned outside of the interior of the enclosure, at least when the container is in the storage configuration.
Method and apparatus for positioning a cutting apparatus
A rotary cutting apparatus includes a frame movable in a first direction and a second direction that is opposite the first direction. The apparatus includes a cutting roll. The cutting roll is rotatably connected with the frame and configured to rotate about a first longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes an anvil roll. The anvil roll is rotatably connected with the frame and is configured to rotate about a second longitudinal axis. The first longitudinal axis is substantially parallel with the second longitudinal axis. The apparatus includes a first stationary member adapted to prevent movement of the frame in the first direction. The apparatus also includes a second stationary member connected with the frame. The second stationary member has a first configuration that prevents movement of the frame in the second direction. The second stationary member has a second configuration that allows movement of the frame in the second direction.
Oscillating microtome with flexure drive
A microtome method and apparatus includes a microtome blade configured to oscillate in a direction transverse to a direction of advancing a cut, and a first flexure to support and guide the blade. The first flexure is compliant in the transverse direction while being stiff in the cut direction. A second flexure operatively engaged at one end portion with the first flexure, is stiff in the transverse direction while being compliant in the cut direction. The other end portion of the second flexure is rotatably engaged by an eccentric driven by a rotatable actuator, which oscillates the blade in the transverse direction while effectively isolating non-transverse motion from the blade. The second flexure is configured to move independently of any guides or other stationary objects during oscillation.
Method and an apparatus for making mineral fibre products
The present invention concerns a method and an apparatus for making mineral fibre products by splitting an incoming primary web, said apparatus comprising a feeding conveyor for providing an incoming primary web of air-laid mineral wool, said feeding conveyor having a first direction of travel; a station for shifting the direction of travel of the primary web by receiving the primary web on a turning table and then transferring the primary web onto a receiving conveyor, where said receiving conveyor has a second direction of travel different to the first direction of travel; wherein a web splitter is provided at the downstream end of said receiving conveyor for dividing the incoming primary web into a first primary web and second primary web and wherein the turning table is shiftable in the first direction of travel.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUSLY PROCESSING CONDUCTOR CABLE FOR DISPOSAL OR RECYCLING
A continuous processing system and method for the continuous processing of an electrical conductor cable having aluminum strands encasing a steel core directly from a puller or from a puller and reel, simultaneously or on-the-fly during substantially the entirety of a reconductoring or re-stringing of the cable, wherein such cables are used for power lines or for static wires. The system is adapted to cooperate with a pulling machine. The pulling machine may be formed integrally within the system or may be a conventional pulling machine which cooperates with the system. The processing system runs continuously, substantially without interruption, during the pull of all of the cable from the pull zone of the reconductoring or restringing.
