Fence and stop assembly system and method of use thereof
A fence and stop assembly system and method of use thereof are disclosed. The fence and stop assembly system may include a fence configured to guide and/or secure a workpiece, and a track defined in the fence extending along a length thereof. The stop assembly may be operably engaged with the track. The stop assembly may include a stop portion configured to engage the workpiece such that at least a part of the stop portion is positioned within the track. The method may include operably engaging a stop assembly with a track defined in a fence such that at least a part of a stop portion of the stop assembly is positioned within the track.
FENCE AND STOP ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A stop assembly may include a first portion configured to selectively operably engage a track of a tool and a stop portion operably engaged with the first portion configured to releasably engage a workpiece. The stop portion may be pivotable between a disengaged position and an engaged position relative to the first portion. The stop portion may move in a rotational direction toward the first portion when moving from the disengaged position to the engaged position. A method of use may include pivoting a stop portion of a stop assembly, about a pivot axis defined by a pivot shaft of the stop assembly, to an engaged position such that the stop portion moves in a rotational direction toward a first portion of the stop assembly.

Miter saw
A miter saw includes a fence assembly having a first fence fixedly coupled to a base of the miter saw. The fence assembly includes a moveable fence having a lower portion slidably received within a channel at least partially defined by the first fence. The fence assembly includes a locking member coupled to the first fence. The locking member extends into a groove defined by the lower portion of the moveable fence. The locking member is configured to engage the lower portion of the moveable fence to selectively lock the moveable fence between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the first fence. The fence assembly includes a retaining member coupled to the first fence and extending into the groove of the moveable fence. The locking member and the retaining member collectively restrict the moveable fence from moving in a direction away from the horizontal workpiece support surfaces.
Methods for making and using crown molding jig device
A method is for making a crown molding jig device. The method includes forming first and second V-shaped frames. Each of the first and second V-shaped frames has a vertex portion, and first and second legs extending from the vertex portion. The vertex portions of the first and second V-shaped frames are in a nested arrangement, and the second legs of the first and second V-shaped frames are parallel. The first legs of the first and second V-shaped frames are in a stacked arrangement, and the second legs of the first and second V-shaped frames define a recess. The first leg of the second V-shaped frame defines first and second slots. The method includes coupling first and second adjustable studs to be carried by the first leg of the first V-shaped frame, slidably receiving the coupled first and second adjustable studs into the first and second slots, respectively, so that the recess is adjustable in size, and fastening first and second fastening nuts respectively on the first and second adjustable studs.
FENCE AND STOP ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A method for releaseably engaging a workpiece with the stop portion. The method comprises steps of: providing a first portion of a stop assembly; providing a stop portion of the stop assembly; providing a fine adjustment assembly of the stop assembly, wherein the fine adjustment assembly comprises at least: a set screw operably engaged with the first portion and the stop portion, an adjustment wheel operably engaged with the set screw and completely housed inside of a second portion of the stop assembly that is pivotable engaged with the stop portion; engaging the first portion inside of a track of a tool; and pivoting the stop portion, about a pivot axis defined by a pivot shaft of the stop assembly, to an engaged position such that the stop portion moves in a rotational direction toward the first portion of the stop assembly.

Method for aligning substrate and apparatus for cutting substrate using the same
A method for aligning a substrate and an apparatus for cutting a substrate using the same are provided. In one aspect of the present invention, an apparatus for aligning a substrate comprises a stage on which the substrate is seated and reference pins provided to project from an upper surface of the stage. Each reference pin has a substrate support surface which supports one side of the substrate. An upper end of the substrate support surface is formed so as to project further toward the substrate than a lower end thereof.
CROWN MOLDING JIG DEVICE AND RELATED METHODS
A crown molding jig device may include first and second frames. Each of the first and second frames may have a vertex portion, and first and second legs extending from the vertex portion. The second legs of the first and second frames may define a recess between. The first leg of the second frame may define first and second slots. The crown molding jig device may include first and second adjustable studs carried by the first leg of the first frame, and being slidably received by the first and second slots so that the recess is adjustable in size.
Cutting device
A cutting device includes a mounting head, cutting tools and a bracing element. Each tool has a cutting edge having a recess with a substantially semi-circular contour for accommodating a portion of a workpiece. An engaging protrusion extends into each recess and has a foot circumferential angular range from 20 to 90 degrees. The engaging protrusions project into the recess by to 9/10 of its radius. The bracing element extends from one tool and has a surface for supporting the workpiece.
