Apparatus and methods that may be employed to install or remove a threaded connector by allowing a cable or tubing segment attached to the threaded connector to pass through an open pass-through area that is defined to extend through the tool so as to allow the threaded connector to be tightened and/or loosened relative to the fitting by turning the connector a full revolution or more while the cable or tubing is attached to the connector and extending through the tool.

A speed-selectable hand tool includes a handle, a cage member fixed to the handle, a shaft member extending into the cage member, a sleeve member sleeved on the shaft member and extending into the cage member, a plurality of transmission members each meshing with the shaft member and the sleeve member, a plurality of pawls mounted to the cage, a knob surrounding the pawls, and an outer casing mounted with the transmission members. The speed-selectable hand tool is operable to serve as a non-ratcheting hand tool or a ratcheting hand tool by rotating the knob relative to the cage member to actuate the pawls. The rotational speed of the shaft member relative to the handle is selectable through operation of the outer casing.

A ratchet wrench includes a first and a second drive members 21, 21 rotatably mounted in a first and a second heads 16, 16 extended from a first and a second ends of a handle 10. The first drive member 21 includes a square inner periphery 35 adapted to slidably retain a drive shaft 36 including a drive fitting 45 and a drive fitting 46, and the second drive member 21 includes a drive hexagonal bit holder 53 and drive fitting 54, for providing combined functions of ordinary ratchet wrenches for turning fasteners. A first and a second ratcheting mechanisms are mounted in the first and the second ends of the handle 10 for turning the first and the second drive members 21, 21, by the handle 10.

A ratchet wrench includes a first and a second drive members 21, 21 rotatably mounted in a first and a second heads 16, 16 extended from a first and a second ends of a handle 10. The first drive member 21 includes a square inner periphery 35 adapted to slidably retain a drive shaft 36 including a drive fitting 45 and a drive fitting 46, and the second drive member 21 includes a drive hexagonal bit holder 53 and drive fitting 54, for providing combined functions of ordinary ratchet wrenches for turning fasteners. A first and a second ratcheting mechanisms are mounted in the first and the second ends of the handle 10 for turning the first and the second drive members 21, 21, by the handle 10.

A tensioning device for extending a threaded bolt by tensioning the threaded end section has a supporting tube surrounding the threaded end section, a cylinder arranged in continuation of the supporting tube and having at least one piston axially movable therein, an exchange socket which is screwable to the threaded end section and is configured such that it can be carried along axially by the piston, and a pin arranged in an axially movable manner in a longitudinal guide in the exchange socket. The pin end is axially supportable against that end of the threaded bolt that has the threaded end section. In order to assess the actually usable thread projection even in cases in which known tensioning devices provide imprecise results, the pin is formed in a radially widened manner at its pin end compared with the pin cross section.

A ratchet wrench drill attachment including a housing assembly, a gear assembly, and a drill assembly is disclosed. These assemblies in conjunction with one another provide a simple solution to automating a ratchet wrench. The ratchet wrench includes a drill attachment. The actuation of the drill causes the rotation of a shaft that includes a perpendicular gear mounted thereon. The flat circular perpendicular gear engages simultaneously with a top gear and a bottom gear housed within an annular portion of the housing assembly. The top gear includes an interior portion that receives a removeable socket. The removable socket can be hexagonal or square to engage with fasteners. Thereby enabling the user to loosen or tighten said fasteners automatically.

An absorbable screw fastener and a method of firing with an applicator capable of applying a surgical fastener to tissue in order to form tissue connection to secure objects to tissue, the fastener including a body portion having a helical thread, a head portion disposed at the proximal end of the body portion. The head portion includes a driver receiving configuration on its outer surface. The screw fastener further includes a cannulated center lumen with an opening extending from the head portion through the longitudinal length of the body portion.

An absorbable screw fastener and a method of firing with an applicator capable of applying a surgical fastener to tissue in order to form tissue connection to secure objects to tissue, the fastener including a body portion having a helical thread, a head portion disposed at the proximal end of the body portion. A pneumatic ratchet wrench includes a main body, an output unit, a driving unit, and a transmission unit. The main body has a handle section and a shrunk head section narrower than the handle section. The output unit includes a driving head for outputting a power. At least a major portion of the output unit is disposed within the shrunk head section. The driving unit is disposed within the main body for generating the power pneumatically. The transmission unit is disposed within the handle section for transmitting the power to the driving head.
