Seed Drying System
20180340732 · 2018-11-29 ·

A seed drying system for positioning a manifold in a seed treater includes a seed treater that contains a plurality of seeds that have been coated with a liquid treatment. A manifold is positioned within the seed treater and a fan is provided to selectively urge air. The fan is fluidly coupled to the manifold to direct the air over the seeds thereby facilitating the liquid treatment to dry on the seeds. A mounting unit is provided and the manifold is coupled to the mounting unit such that the mounting unit retains the manifold in a horizontal orientation. The mounting unit is releasably coupled to the housing such that the manifold is retained in the drum. Moreover, the mounting unit centrally positions the manifold in the aperture.

Drug-eluting coatings applied to medical devices by spraying and drying to remove solvent

A coating device for coating a medical device with a drug-eluting material uses an in-process drying station between coats to improve a drug release profile. The drying station includes a heat nozzle configured for applying a uniform drying gas. A coating process using the dryer includes a closed-loop control for the gas between drying steps and an improved nozzle for producing more consistent spray patterns.

Plant dryer with improved convection flow

A plant dryer with improved convection flow is provided. The plant dryer has minimal corners in the drying vessel to promote efficient distribution of heated air through the device and to eliminate dead spots within the unit. The plant dryer has additional safety features where, unlike a conventional oven configuration, the unit may not be operated without the drying bowl properly placed within the unit.

TREATMENT DEVICE AND TREATMENT METHOD

A treatment device (1) and a treatment method for a web (2) of endless material, in particular of a textile fiber material, preferably a non-woven fabric are provided. The treatment device (1) includes a treatment chamber (14) in which the moving web (2) is treated with a flowing gas, in particular air, an inlet (10) and an outlet (11) for the web (2), and a plurality of chamber regions (20-24). The plurality of chamber regions (20-24) are stationarily arranged on top and next to each other. The web (2) runs through the plurality of chamber regions (20-24). In the chamber regions (20-24), the gas, in particular the air, flows against and through the web (2) from one side.

Method and system for drying particulate material
10126050 · 2018-11-13 · ·

A system for drying moist, particulate material includes a steam dryer having a container containing superheated steam. Upper and lower heat exchangers, with a channel extending through them, are located in the container. An impeller generates a flow of steam upward in the container outside the heat exchangers and downward through the channel. Guide plates around the heat exchangers guide the moist, particulate material from an inlet in the lower part of the container around the heat exchangers, subjecting the material to the flow of the steam, thereby drying the material. A steam conduit supplies a primary steam flow to the lower heat exchanger, which condenses the primary steam flow into a flow of hot water that is directed to a flow generator that generates a fluid flow from the hot water flow. A fluid conduit leads the fluid flow to the upper heat exchanger.

LIGHTED VEHICLE WASH DRYER ASSEMBLY
20180319378 · 2018-11-08 ·

A lighted dryer assembly for a vehicle wash system including a housing portion, having a head portion, a body portion, and an outlet portion. The head portion includes an air inlet portion for drawing air into the head portion and an outlet for passing the air to the body portion. The outlet portion has a plurality of exit nozzles that are configured to emit high velocity air therefrom for removing water from an exterior surface of a vehicle while disposed in a vehicle treatment area. The body portion includes an upper portion where air is received from the head portion and a lower portion disposed remote from the upper portion. A light source is disposed within the housing portion and configured to emit light that can be seen by a vehicle disposed in the vehicle treatment area.

Water-Based Coating Compositions And Systems With Improved Sag Resistance And Related Methods

The present invention provides a water-based coating and/or coating system that can be used to form sag resistant wet layers or coatings on a wide range of substrates. The coating system is particularly effective for protecting metal-containing substrates, such as intermodal cargo containers, against corrosion. As an overview, the present invention provides water-based compositions suitable to form primer coats on substrates. Desirably, the primer incorporates a high level of one or more CAS agents for excellent sag resistance while drying in a broad range of relative humidity environments. Alternatively, modifications can be made to control temperature and humidity during spray application and drying as a way to increase sag resistance of the coating.

Passive Ventilation Herb Psychrometer

This device is used for the drying of vegetative matter for human ingestion. This device is designed to create a closed environment in which the user can fine tune the operation depending on what is being dried, and also provide the ability to manage any odors generated by the process. The user harvests the herbs in question and hangs them inside the drying chamber. The device is called a Passive Ventilation Psychrometer because it contains no air moving mechanism. The user has to install and establish an exhaust system for evacuating the air within the device. The user is also responsible for setting up the intake air, which gives said user some control over the temperature and humidity of the incoming air. The user also sets up the hydration chamber to control humidity up or down, depending on ambient conditions.

Laundry treating appliance with imaging control

A laundry treating appliance having a rotatable drum defining a laundry treating chamber, where the laundry in the laundry treating chamber may be imaged and a condition of the laundry determined based on the imaging of the laundry. A notification can be provided to a user based on the determined motion condition.
