CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS FREE OF SODIUM CHLORIDE AND SULFATE-BASED SURFACTANTS
The present disclosure relates to cleansing compositions that are free of sulfate-based surfactants and free of sodium chloride. The cleansing compositions include: (a) one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactants; one or more amphoteric surfactants; one or more nonionic surfactants; (d) one or more hydrophobically modified poly(meth)acrylates; one or more silicones; and water. The cleansing compositions are particularly useful for cleansing hair and providing conditioning benefits to the hair.
Method of Dispersing Hydrophobic Substances in Aqueous Cleansing System
This disclosure relates to a method for making a dispersion, comprising preparing an aqueous phase comprising water and a surfactant; combining a hydrophobic substance and a plurality of particles comprising cellulose to form a concentrate; and mixing the aqueous phase and concentrate to provide a dispersion. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
Solid Cleansing Compositions
Solid cleansing compositions including at least a first surfactant and a second surfactant in which the combined weight of the first surfactant and the second surfactant is at least about 60% by weight, based on the total weight of the solid cleansing composition. The solid cleansing composition can be in a powder form.
AQUEOUS SURFACTANT COMPOSITIONS
Aqueous surfactant compositions containing
one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalt (A) of general formula (I),
R.sup.1CH(SO.sub.3M.sup.1)COOM.sup.2(I),
in which the radical R.sup.1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and the radicals M.sup.1 and M.sup.2, independently of one another, are selected from the group comprising H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamine;
one or more isethionate (B) of general formula (II),
R.sup.18COOCHR.sup.19CHR.sup.20SO.sub.2M.sup.11(II)
wherein the radical R.sup.18 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 7 to 19 carbon atoms and radicals R.sup.19 or R.sup.20, independently of each other, are hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, with the proviso that not both radicals R.sup.19 and R.sup.20 are an alkyl radical, and wherein the radical M.sup.11 is selected from the group comprising H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamine, and
water are disclosed. The compositions have good foaming ability, pleasant sensory properties of the foam, and good skin compatibility. The compositions are suitable for cosmetic agents as well, as detergents and cleaners.
Cleaning Composition
A composition of, and method of making, a cleaning composition and a cleaning powder is disclosed. The composition includes a desiccated surfactant, powdered vinegar, and optionally a custom essence.
Sulfate-free, foamable solid cleanser comprising an isethionate/betaine surfactant system
A solid cleansing product including at least a first surfactant and a second surfactant present in a combined surfactant weight amount, both of the first and second surfactants being free of sulfate-containing materials; at least a first buffering agent and a second buffering agent a present in a combined buffering agent weight amount; where the combined buffering agent weight amount is at least double the combined surfactant weight amount.
USES, METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS
Use of a chelating agent in a surfactant composition to provide transparency and/or to substantially prevent discolouration, wherein the chelating agent comprises at least one aminopolycarboxylic acid or a salt thereof.
METHOD OF CLEANING A SURFACE HAVING SOIL COMPRISING FATTY ACID AND CONSUMER PRODUCT COMPOSITION THEREFOR
A method of cleaning a surface having disposed thereon a soil comprising fatty acid, the method comprising contacting the soil with a consumer product composition comprising a surfactant and a soil transforming enzyme selected from the group consisting of hydroperoxy fatty acid producing enzymes, hydroperoxy fatty acid converting enzymes, multi-domain enzymes, hydroxy fatty acid producing enzymes, and mixtures thereof. The method further comprises converting the fatty acid of the soil into an active fatty acid derivative material selected from the group consisting of hydroperoxy fatty acids, hydroperoxy fatty acid derivatives, hydroxy fatty acids, and mixtures thereof. Consumer product compositions are also provided.
Toilet-Deposited Composition
A toilet-deposited composition includes a water-activated toilet drop-in composition comprising an aggregate of components in solid form including at least one surfactant configured to clean the toilet surfaces, at least one neutralizing agent configured to neutralize urine, a fragrant agent configured to produce a fragrance when deposited in the water, and at least one sterilizing agent. The water-activated toilet drop-in is configured to be deposited in a bowl or a tank of a toilet.
LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS
A laundry detergent composition including an alkyl isethionate and a de-foaming agent.
