Offshore floating island
An offshore floating island includes a supporting structure and an island main body. The bottom of the supporting structure is fixed at the seabed, and the island main body includes one or two or more compartment bodies; the upper part of the supporting structure is provided with a carrying part; the bottom of each compartment body is provided with a mounting part; the compartment body is of a cavity structure, and a filler is injected to the compartment body till the compartment body sinks to cause the mounting part to be in lock type clamping with the carrying part. The island main body is of a compartment-sinking type structure; the filler is poured into the compartment bodies to cause the compartment bodies to sink; the mounting parts and the carrying part cooperate to realize detachable connection between the supporting structure and the compartment bodies.
Ring-wing floating platform
A ring-wing floating platform is disclosed. The ring-wing floating platform includes a floating hull, a top of the floating hull being above a sea surface and its geometry at a water plane is centrally symmetric, a ring-wing surrounding a perimeter of a bottom of the floating hull with a horizontal projection of concentric annular geometries, a positioning system located at the bottom of the floating hull, and a topsides located above the floating hull and connected to the floating hull by deck legs or installed directly on the top of the floating hull. The axes of the ring-wing and the floating hull are collinear, and their bottoms are in a same horizontal plane. The ring-wing and the floating hull are connected together as a unitary structure by multiple connecting components with an annular gap in-between.
Offshore Structure
An offshore structure includes an original structure and an extension structure. The original structure includes a main platform supported via a foundation on a seabed. The extension structure includes a platform extension positioned laterally of the main platform and a platform extension support, depending downwardly from the platform extension, into contact with the foundation, so as to support the extension structure directly on the foundation.
A DEVICE FOR SECURING A CONNECTION TO BE FORMED BETWEEN A LEG OF A MARINE STRUCTURE AND A PILE OF A FUNDAMENT FASTENED IN A SEABED
A device is for securing a connection to be formed between a leg of a marine structure and a pile of a fundament fastened in a seabed. The connection has the leg partly inserted into an opening of the pile. The device is configured to be firmly connected to the leg. The device comprises a sleeve element configured, together with the leg of the marine structure, to be brought to vicinity of an upper portion of the pile. The device further has a clamping arrangement attached to the sleeve element comprising at least one clamping device configured to form an attachment between the sleeve element and the upper portion of the pile.
System and method for dynamically balancing loads on legs supporting a jack up rig platform
A system is disclosed including but not limited to a a jack up processor in data communication with each for dynamically balancing loads in real time on a plurality of legs supporting a jack up rig platform having a plurality of gear box motors on the plurality of legs. A processor reads data from sensors on gear box motors on the legs and selects a stored torque profile from a computer readable medium based on the load data from the sensors; and sends the torque profile to the plurality of gearboxes. A computer readable medium and neural network are disclosed for dynamically balancing loads on the plurality of legs in real time.
TECHNIQUES IN THE UPSTREAM OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state is delivered by at least one carrier vessel from at least one CO.sub.2 storage site, which may be an onshore site, to an integrated offshore facility. The integrated offshore facility is provided with at least one on-site storage tank or vessel adapted to store CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state and with equipment for marine transfer of CO.sub.2 in the liquid or super-critical state. CO.sub.2 is utilised as required from said at least one on-site storage tank or vessel for EOR at said offshore site or for EGR at said offshore site by injection into a sub-sea oil or natural gas bearing reservoir and recovery of oil and/or natural gas from a resulting production stream.
Marine floating docking system and method of use
A floatation device configured to fit around a dock pier. The flotation device includes a body having a first circular section; a second circular section that form a circular opening to receive the dock pier therebetween; and a fastener configured to secure the first circular section to the second circular section.
Grillage apparatus and method of using and making same
The present invention discloses a portable and re-useable grillage (100) for receiving and supporting a heavy load during transportation as well as methods of making and using same. The grillage (100) comprising a base (3); a load bearing structure (4) coupled to the base (3), the load bearing structure (4) is used for supporting the heavy load; and a framework (5) attached to the load bearing structure (4). The grillage (100) is containerized such that the combination of the base (3), load bearing structure (4) and the framework (5) forming the grillage has external dimensions and weight that conforms with ISO specifications for an intermodal container. The containerized grillage (100) may be used with different sized legs for different sized heavy loads. It may also be shipped in a vertical stacked formation using cost-effective standard shipping for containers.
Variable-draft barge, and system and method of transferring loads from the barge to a supporting structure in a body of water
A variable-draft barge configured to transfer loads in a body of water, and having a water line which is a function of the draft; the barge having: a hull; an underbody; at least one first chamber located in the hull and floodable selectively to alter the draft of the barge; at least one flood valve located below the water line to flood the first chamber; and a control device configured to selectively open the flood valve to flood the first chamber.
Offshore support structure
A support structure for an offshore device is provided, including a vertical guide sleeve and three elongated guide sleeves positioned around the vertical guide sleeve, and various braces connecting the elongated sleeves and the vertical guide sleeve. The support structure also includes a transition joint including a cylindrical portion for connection to an offshore device, such as a support tower of a wind turbine assembly, and a conical portion connected to the vertical guide sleeve. To provide resistance to thrust, bending, and torsional fatigue, at least one set of braces is formed in an oval, racetrack, obround, or stadium configuration, and one or more horizontal stiffeners are positioned in the transition joint to maximize the strength of the support structure.
