The shell includes a tapered portion that tapers inward toward a longitudinal axis of the shell to define a narrowing region of the exhaust pathway. The exhaust system further includes an ionization assembly and an electrical subsystem that applies an electrical potential difference between the shell and at least a portion of the ionization assembly located within the exhaust pathway. The ionization assembly includes a support arm located within the exhaust pathway that extends into the narrowing region of the exhaust pathway. The ionization assembly further includes a plurality of electrically conductive discs mounted on and supported by the support arm. The ionization assembly is electrically insulated from the shell by an electrically insulating support structure.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TREATING VEHICLE EMISSIONS

A method for controlling exhaust gas aftertreatment in an exhaust gas aftertreatment system having at least one nitrogen oxide storage catalyst and at least one catalyst for selective catalytic reduction is provided, wherein, in phases of a high load, a combustion engine is operated with a substoichiometric fuel/air mixture, and nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas are reduced in the nitrogen oxide storage catalyst to ammonia, which is stored in the catalyst for selective catalytic reduction, and, when the storage capacity of the catalyst for selective catalytic reduction is exceeded, the combustion engine is operated with a superstoichiometric fuel/air mixture, thus allowing nitrogen oxides in the catalyst for selective catalytic reduction to be reduced by the stored ammonia.

A jet propelled watercraft includes a watercraft body, an engine housed in the watercraft body, a jet propulsion unit that suctions and jets water with a drive force of the engine, a first exhaust pipe connected to an exhaust port of the engine, and a catalyst storage connected to the first exhaust pipe, wherein the first exhaust pipe and the catalyst storage are integral and unitary with each other.

HYDROCARBON ADSORBENT WITH METAL-IMPREGNATED ZEOLITE PARTICLE HAVING REGULAR MESOPORE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a hydrocarbon adsorbent with metal-impregnated zeolite particles having regular mesopores and a manufacturing method therefor. The hydrocarbon adsorbent includes a metal cation and a metal oxide that are impregnated in zeolite particles, in particular, the zeolite particles include regularly formed mesopores having a size of 2 to 10. By adjusting a Si/Al ratio and mesoporosity of the mesopores, a hydrocarbon adsorbent may have increased adsorption capacity for hydrocarbons in a cold-start section and can rapidly oxidize the hydrocarbon upon desorption thereof, thereby reducing the discharge of exhaust gas produced in automobiles and industries.

A system, a use of such a system and a multi system for cleaning exhaust gas from a combustion engine. The system comprises a first exhaust gas scrubber to communicate with a scrubber water circulation tank. A first outlet of the first exhaust gas scrubber is connectable to a first inlet of the scrubber water circulation tank, and a first inlet of the first exhaust gas scrubber is connectable to a first outlet of the scrubber water circulation tank, to enable circulation of scrubber water between the scrubber water circulation tank and the first exhaust gas scrubber. An air supply device feeds air into the first exhaust gas scrubber to aerate the scrubber water during its passage through the first exhaust gas scrubber. Accordingly, a second inlet of the first exhaust gas scrubber is arranged to be connected to an outlet of the air supply device.

MULTIMETALLIC OXIDES FOR THERMALLY REVERSIBLE NOX SORPTION
20230191324 · 2023-06-22 ·

A Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) sorbent material of the present invention includes a multi-metallic oxide that includes one or more alkali or alkaline earth metal, one or more 3d transition metal, and one or more rare earth element. The NOx sorbent material is configured to adsorb and absorb NOx below a low temperature and to release the adsorbed or absorbed NOx at temperature at or above the low temperature. In some embodiments, a manganese catalyst is deposited on a high surface area carrier. The manganese catalyst takes the form of an alkali/metal promotor and an Mn-based compound. In general, the NOx sorbent material contains about one percent to about fifty percent by weight of alkali/alkaline earth metal manganese catalyst based on the total weight of the catalyst.
