Harness connector

Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a full body harness that includes a connector. The connector includes a first plate and a second plate, where the first plate is identical to the second plate. The first plate and the second plate includes a plurality of slits to facilitate passage of a first harness and a second harness there through. The first plate is rotatably coupled to the second plate such that they are rotatable with respect to each other. Such a connector automatically enables easy adjustment of the harness based on an activity of a user who is wearing the harness.

Harness connection arrangement

A connection arrangement for use with a wearable body harness has a first connector with a first fixed buckle configured to connect to a first portion of a first shoulder strap of the harness, and a first adjustable buckle configured to connect to a second portion of the first shoulder strap. The connection arrangement further has a second connector removably connectable to the first connector. The second connector has a second fixed buckle configured to connect to a first portion of a second shoulder strap of the harness, and a second adjustable buckle configured to connect to a second portion of the second shoulder strap. Each of the first adjustable buckle and the second adjustable buckle has an adjustment mechanism configured for adjusting a length of the second portion of the first and second shoulder straps by selective frictional engagement with the second portion of the first and second shoulder straps.

The center portion may comprise a porous ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) material and configured to contact a back of a user. The center portion may further comprise a warp mesh material and a 3D spacer fabric. The EVA material may comprise a plurality of holes to assist with the breathability of a waist padding assembly. The two side portions may be configured to secure to respective opposite sides of the center portion. The two side portions may comprise a polyurethane foam material configured to contact the flanks of the user.

A preferred embodiment suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness includes a pair of straps connectable in two configurations. The first configuration is formed by engaging a hook of one strap with one of a plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form a sling upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand. The second configuration is formed by engaging the hook of the one strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the one strap and engaging the hook of the other strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form two slings upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand.
