Toothed shafts for installation into hollow shafts with internal toothings in telescopic fashion
A toothed shaft can be installed in a hollow shaft that has an internal toothing such that the toothed shaft is coupled in a positively locking fashion so as to be telescopic in a direction of a longitudinal axis. The toothed shaft may include a toothing region with teeth on an outer circumference and extending in an axial direction. In the toothing region a shaft core may be overmolded by way of an injection molding process with a sliding coating comprised of thermoplastic material. The sliding coating may have at least three impressions, with each of the at least three impressions featuring an aperture that extends through the sliding coating to a surface of the shaft core.
BEARING MATERIAL AND SOLID LUBRICANT
A bearing material may include a matrix of polyamide-imide polymer material, and a solid lubricant particulate. The solid lubricant particulate may have a median particle size of less than 1 micrometre.
TRANSMISSION, IN PARTICULAR, A PLANETARY TRANSMISSION
A planetary transmission for a wind turbine includes a bolt having a cylindrical outer surface and a gear having a cylindrical inner surface rotatably supported on the outer surface of the bolt. The cylindrical outer surface of the bolt and the cylindrical inner surface of the gear are configured to function as a plain bearing, and one or both of these surfaces may include a sliding layer formed from a low friction material.
Gas turbine engine including seal assembly with abradable coating including magnetic particles embedded in polymer
A gas turbine engine according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a compressor section, a combustor section, a turbine section, and at least one rotatable shaft. The engine further includes a seal assembly including a seal plate mounted for rotation with the rotatable shaft and a face seal in contact with the seal plate at a contact area. The seal assembly further includes an abradable coating adjacent the contact area. The abradable coating includes magnetic particles embedded in a polymer material.
SLIDING MEMBER AND MEMBER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A sliding member of the present invention includes a base material and a coating layer that is formed on the base material. The coating layer includes a particle aggregate, and the particle aggregate contains two or more kinds of precipitation hardened copper alloy particles that have different compositions. The sliding member has high coating strength and superior wear resistance.
ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED JOURNAL BEARING FOR A WIND TURBINE GEARBOX
A method for manufacturing a gear assembly of a gearbox in a wind turbine includes providing a pin shaft of the gear assembly. The method also includes depositing material onto an exterior surface of the pin shaft of the gear assembly via an additive manufacturing process driven by a computer numerical control (CNC) device to form a bearing that circumferentially surrounds and adheres to the pin shaft. Further, the method includes providing a gear circumferentially around the bearing to form the gear assembly.
SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member of the present invention includes a coating on a base material. The coating contains hard metal particles and corrosion-resistant metal particles that have hardness lower than that of the hard metal particles. The hard metal particles contain particles that have at least Vickers hardness of 600 Hv or higher. The corrosion-resistant metal particles are made of at least one kind of metal selected from the group consisting of copper (Cu), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), and nickel (Ni), or are made of an alloy containing said metal. The coating has a cross section in which the hard metal particles are dispersed in an island manner in a particle aggregate of the corrosion-resistant metal particles and in which an area ratio of the corrosion-resistant metal particles is 30% or larger. Thus, corrosion of the hard metal particles in the coating is prevented, whereby the sliding member maintains wear resistance for a long time.
SLIDING MEMBER AND MEMBER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A sliding member of the present invention includes a base material and a coating layer that is formed on the base material. The coating layer includes a particle aggregate that contains precipitation hardened copper alloy particles. The precipitation hardened copper alloy particles contain cobalt (Co) and silicon (Si) The sliding member has high coating strength and superior wear resistance.
Wheel bearing arrangement having a coating
A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a wheel hub. The wheel hub is connected to a wheel flange. A multi-row rolling element bearing is mounted on the wheel hub. The bearing has an outer ring and at least one inner ring which is axially prestressed by a collar of the wheel hub. A zinc flake coating is formed on at least part of the wheel bearing arrangement to improve corrosion protection.
Method for producing a hydrostatic fluid bearing with cells
The method comprises depositing a coating of metal material on the inside surface of the body (4) of the stator (36), impregnating said coating with a self-lubricating composite material (20), machining internal cells (28) in the thickness of the coating (10), and machining orifices (34) leading into the cells.
