A method is for producing a scattered beam collimator starting from a lower side and extending in a build-up direction as far as an upper side, and having a large number of X-ray absorbing partitions, and in which pass-through channels for unscattered X-ray radiation are embodied between the partitions. A lithographic process is used, by which the partitions of the scattered beam collimator are formed from a photoresist into which an X-ray absorbing material is mixed.
Phase contrast X-ray interferometry
A phase contrast X-ray imaging system includes: an illumination source adapted to illuminate a region of interest; a diffraction grating adapted to receive illumination from the illuminated region of interest, the diffraction grating comprising a spatial structure having a first periodicity superimposed with a second periodicity that is different from the first periodicity; and a detector adapted to detect illumination passing through the diffraction grating, wherein the spatial structure is defined by varying height and/or pitch, and wherein the spatial structure imparts a first phase dependence based on the first periodicity and an additional phase dependence based on the second periodicity on the illumination passing through the diffraction grating.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PHASE STEPPING IN PHASE CONTRAST IMAGE ACQUISITION
The present invention relates to a device for phase stepping in phase contrast image acquisition, the device (1) comprising: a mobile grating (10); a guiding element (11); a restoring element (12); and a locking element (13); wherein the guiding element (11) is configured to guide the mobile grating (10) between a first position (2) and a second position (3); wherein the restoring element (12) is configured to apply a force to the mobile grating (10); wherein the force is directed from the first position (2) to the second position (3); and wherein the locking element (13) is configured to releasably lock the mobile grating (10) in the first position (2). In an example, during the motion of the mobile grating (10) back to equilibrium, a decoder (11a) for the position of the mobile grating (10) along the guiding element (11) may trigger at least four measurement frames over a period of at least 2*Pi. The invention provides a device (1) for phase stepping in phase contrast image acquisition which provides a fast image acquisition without a significant delay and which reduces positional inaccuracies and which avoids back-lash.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ANODIZED OXIDATION OF AN ANODE ELEMENT FOR A CURVED X-RAY GRATING, SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A CURVED X-RAY GRATING AND CURVED X-RAY GRATING
The present invention relates to a device for anodized oxidation of an anode element for a curved X-ray grating, the device (10) comprising: an anode element (12); a cathode element (14); an electrolytic medium (16); a conductor element (18); and a carrier element (20); wherein the anode element (12) comprises a first side (11) and a second side (13), wherein the second side (13) faces opposite to the first side (11); wherein the carrier element (20) comprises a curved surface section (21) that extends along a curvature around a center of curvature (30); wherein the carrier element (20) is configured to receive the second side (13) of the anode element (12) for attaching the conductor element (18) to the first side (11) of the anode element (12); wherein the curved surface section (21) is configured to receive the conductor element (18) after detaching the second side (13) of the anode element (12) from the carrier element (20); wherein the electrolytic medium (16) is configured to connect the anode element (12) and the cathode element (14); wherein the cathode element (14) in conjunction with the anode element (12) and the electrolyte medium (16) is configured to generate at least one group of electric field lines (26) that define a plane (31, 33, 35, 37, 39), wherein at least a straight extrapolation (32) of the group of electric field lines intersect the center of curvature, wherein the generation of the at least one group of electric field lines (26) results in an anodized oxidation of the anode element (12) on the curved surface section (21). The invention provides a device (10) that avoids the risk of damaging the grating structures and getting a low yield.

An X-ray imaging system includes: an X-ray Talbot imaging device that has an object table, an X-ray source, a plurality of gratings, and an X-ray detector, and irradiates the X-ray detector with an X-ray from the X-ray source through an object and the plurality of gratings to acquire a moir image necessary for generation of a reconstructed image of the object; and a tester that is installed on the object table, holds the object, and loads a tensile load or a compressive load on the object, wherein the X-ray Talbot imaging device includes a hardware processor that causes a series of imaging to be performed to acquire the moir image, the tester includes: a base part; and a chuck, and an operation of the chuck is automatically controllable by the hardware processor in conjunction with the X-ray Talbot imaging device.

TESTING OF CURVED X-RAY GRATINGS
The present invention relates to a method, and a corresponding device, for testing a radius of curvature and/or for detecting inhomogeneities of a curved X-ray grating for a grating-based X-ray imaging device. The method comprises generating a beam of light diverging from a source point, propagating along a main optical axis and having a line-shaped beam profile. The method comprises reflecting the beam off a concave reflective surface of the grating. A principal axis of the concave reflective surface coincides with the main optical axis and the source point is at a predetermined distance from a point where the main optical axis intersects the concave reflective surface. The method comprises determining whether a projection of the reflected beam in a plane at or near the source point is present outside a central region around the source point, in which an absence of this projection outside the central region indicates that a radius of curvature of the concave reflective surface corresponds to the predetermined distance and/or that the reflective surface is substantially homogeneously curved along a curve formed by the beam impinging on the concave reflective surface.

The present invention relates to a device for aligning an X-ray grating to an X-ray radiation source, the device (10) comprising at least two flat X-ray grating segments (11-19); at least one alignment unit (31-39) for aligning one of the at least two flat X-ray grating segments; wherein the at least two flat X-ray grating segments (11-19) are arranged in juxtaposition and are forming an X-ray grating (20); wherein the at least two flat X-ray grating segments (11-19) each comprise a grating surface (41-49) for X-ray radiation, each grating surface (41-49) comprising a geometrical center; wherein normals (21-29) to each of the grating surfaces (41-49) define a common plane (73), wherein the normals (21-29) intersect the geometrical center of the grating surface (41-49); wherein at least a first of the at least two flat X-ray grating segments (11-19) is rotatable around an axis (131-139) that is perpendicular to the common plane (73); and wherein the first of the at least two flat X-ray grating segments (11-19) that is rotatable around the axis (131-139) is connected to a first of the at least one alignment unit (31-39). The invention provides a device (10) and a method (100) which provide an improved X-ray grating (20).
