Modular Display and Sensor System for Attaching to Eyeglass Frames and Capturing Physiological Data
The present specification describes methods and systems for tracking vision performance, using various techniques such as and not limited to electrooculography. A modular device is integrated with frames of eyeglasses that can be worn by a user. The device incorporates one or more biosensors such as EOG sensors. EOG recording may be used to estimate eyelid and eye motion, and eye gaze direction. The modular device may be fitted into new eyewear or retrofitted into existing eyewear for tracking eyes of the wearer. Embodiments of the present specification provide systems and methods to enable seamless integration of eye tracking into everyday life to maximize productivity and performance.
SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT
Systems, methods, and computer readable media for determining cognitive impairment (CI) in patients are provided herein. Various regional structural-functional parameters of the retina can serve as biomarkers for the detection of CI. The method can include forming a database including a quantification of retinal structure and retinal function of a plurality of eyes associated with a plurality of patients, providing a baseline cognitive impairment (CI) reference. The method can include determining a measure of functionality of neurons in the retina based on an electroretinogram (ERG) of a patient. The method can include determining a structural measure of the first retina based on a generalized dimension spectrum and singularity spectrum of the skeletonized retinal image, and a lacunarity parameter of the skeletonized retinal image. The method can include determining a level of cognitive impairment based on the structural and functional measures.

SYSTEMS AND METHOD PROVIDING A UNIFIED FRAMEWORK FOR DE-NOISING NEURAL SIGNALS
A method removing artifacts from neural signals comprises receiving electroencephalography (EEG) data from an EEG system and providing the EEG data to a unified artifact removal framework for cleaning artifacts. The EEG data is provided to a first cleaning framework utilizing the first reference to clean first artifacts from the EEG data, and the outputting the EEG data from the first cleaning framework to a second cleaning framework. The second cleaning framework may operate in a similar manner utilizing second reference to clean second artifacts from the EEG data. This general process may be repeated as desired to clean various artifacts from EEG data, when a suitable reference for the artifacts to be removed is utilized. The frameworks utilize H∞ method or filtering involving a H∞ adapting rule to properly weigh the reference, and combining the subsequent output with incoming EEG data results in the desired removal of artifacts.
