Speech impairment indicative of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is detected from an input speech sample using a classification model comprising a fine-tuned, pre-trained Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformer (BERT)-based model and a classification layer, the fine-tuning using training data comprising transcribed speech, a portion of the training data identified as associated with AD and a portion of the training data identified as not associated with AD. The input need not include acoustic or temporal features. In some implementations, the classification model is augmented through the use of syntactic and word-content features extracted from the speech sample, which are concatenated with an aggregate transcript representation from the BERT-based model and provided to the classification layer.

The system comprises receive, over a network, at least one facial image of a patient; extracting, from the at least one facial image, at least one facial feature indicative of a cognitive decline; classifying the at least one extracted facial feature using a classifier, wherein the classifier maps a plurality of candidate facial features to a score indicating a stage of a cognitive decline; and determining a positive diagnosis of a cognitive decline of the patient, based on the score provided by the classifier in response to the at least one extracted facial feature.

In particular, the methods and systems of the present disclosure may: determine, based at least in part on one or more machine learning (ML) models, that one or more interfaces displayed to a user include content of a content type designated by a content supervisor of the user for identification; and, responsive to determining that the interface(s) displayed to the user include content of the content type designated for identification, generate data representing a graphical user interface (GUI) for presentation to the user, the GUI indicating detection of the content of the content type and comprising interactive educational material counseling the user with respect to the content type.
