Transaction processing platform for facilitating electronic distribution of plural prepaid services
A transaction processing platform capable of facilitating the distribution to consumers of various types of prepaid products is disclosed. The transaction processing platform is configured to interface with one or more providers of such prepaid products in order to facilitate the procurement or activation of the products. The platform includes a conduit interface through which service request messages are received and respectively utilized to generate transaction requests for corresponding types of prepaid services. A supply interface arrangement, operatively coupled to the conduit interface, is configured to route a first of the transaction requests through a first supply interface associated with a first type of prepaid service. The supply interface arrangement also routes a second transaction request through a second supply interface associated with a second type of prepaid service. The platform is also configured to provide supplier response information received through the supply interfaces to the conduit interface.
System for processing, activating and redeeming value added prepaid cards
A computer implemented method for adding value to a stored value card in excess of the purchase price for the stored value card is provided. In one embodiment a stored value card transaction processor receives an activation or redemption request for a stored value card from a point of sale terminal. The activation or redemption request comprises at least one of a card identification, a point of sale terminal identification, a merchant identification, and a time of activation which is compared to data stored in a stored value card datastore to determine if the stored value card to be activated is eligible for a value added award. The processor then determines the value added award and modifies the request to include the value added award. The processor then transmits the modified request to the card issuer authorization system and receives a response which is forwarded to the point of sale terminal.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A USER-LOADABLE STORED VALUE CARD
A system and method in accordance with example embodiments may provide a user-loadable stored value card. Additionally, a system and method in accordance with example embodiments may allow an institution to receive a user-loadable stored value card activation request from a sender, activate a user-loadable stored value card using the information received in the activation request, and provide card management capabilities to the sender.
SECURING A SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT VIA A SHARED TRANSACTION
A mobile application provides mutually selected users with half of a coupon for use at a public location, such as a local restaurant. The application on each user's mobile device then enables the coupon for use at the public location only when the mutually selected users are in the location, and near each other. Once the coupon is enabled, the users can present the coupon at the location, obtain a discount, and participate in the agreed activities.
System and method of paying fare of mobile vehicle
A method is provided of paying a fare of a mobile vehicle by using a first terminal and a second terminal. The method may include receiving, by the second terminal, fare data of the mobile vehicle, obtained from a meter based on fare calculation data that includes at least one of moving distance data and moving time data of the mobile vehicle, and transmitting the received fare data to the first terminal. The method may also include transmitting, by the first terminal, the fare data to the second terminal, and receiving, by the second terminal, card information of a passenger from a card reader, transmitting the card information to a card server connected to the second terminal through a predetermined communication network, and receiving a payment authorization of a fare of the mobile vehicle from the card server.
PREPAID DEBIT CARD TRANSACTION PROCESSING
An example method of processing a transaction associated with a prepaid debit card includes: triggering, by an agent executing on a point-of-sale (POS) device, an alternative handling procedure for the transaction; sending, as part of the alternative handling procedure, the transaction from the POS device to a server; verifying the transaction at the server; sending, in response to the transaction satisfying the step of verifying: a request from the server to an issuing bank system to fund an account associated with the prepaid debit card; and an authorization from the server to the POS device; and triggering, by the agent executing on the POS device in response to the authorization, a nominal handling procedure for the transaction.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREVENTION OF FRAUDULENT GIFT CARDS VIA BLOCKCHAIN
A method for secure usage of a gift card via blockchain includes: storing a blockchain including a specific data value related to a gift card that includes a gift card number and a first recipient address; receiving a transfer request including the gift card number, a first digital signature, and a device identifier; verifying the first recipient address based on the first digital signature; generating a new data value comprising the gift card number, the device identifier, and a second recipient address; transmitting the generated new data value to a node associated with the blockchain; receiving a redemption request from a second computing system including the gift card number, a second digital signature, and a submitted device identifier; verifying the second recipient address and submit device identifier based on the second digital signature and the device identifier, respectively; and transmitting a result of the verification to the second computing system.
WIRELESS ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT APPLICATION FOR A WIRELESS DEVICE
A method for displaying wireless service usage information and account information using an account management application operating on a wireless device includes receiving, at the account management application operating on the wireless device and from a tracking module, wireless service usage information for a wireless subscriber associated with the wireless device, the wireless service usage information including one or more units of wireless services that the wireless subscriber has used, receiving, at the account management application operating on the wireless device and from a service provider over a wireless network, account information associated with the wireless subscriber associated with the wireless device, the service provider being different from the wireless device and the wireless network, and enabling presentation, on a display of the wireless device, of the account management application including the wireless service usage information and the account information for the wireless subscriber associated with the wireless device.
System and method for chopping up and processing gift cards
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for chopping up a gift card/code into smaller multiple gift card/codes. The system receives a request from a user to convert a closed-loop card/code having a value amount into two different closed-loop cards/codes and divides (or chops up) the closed-loop card/code into a first closed-loop card/code having a first value amount and a second closed-loop card/code having a second value amount, wherein the first value amount and the second value amount add up to no more than the value amount. The system offers the first closed-loop card/code and the second closed-loop card/code to one of the user and a third party.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for topping up prepaid payment cards for offline use
A card holder carries out an initial top-up of a balance of a pre-paid payment card. The prepaid payment card is configured for use in an infrastructure in accordance with a payment specification requiring different behavior for normal transactions in the infrastructure versus that required for topping-up of the balance. Contemporaneously with the initial top-up, the card holder registers risk mitigation information in association with the pre-paid payment card. Subsequent to the initial top-up, an indicator is written to the pre-paid payment card during a transaction with the pre-paid payment card outside the infrastructure. The indicator identifies the pre-paid payment card as having the risk mitigation information associated therewith. During subsequent presentation of the pre-paid payment card to the infrastructure, the pre-paid payment card is treated as a token backed up by the risk mitigation information, based on presence of the indicator on the pre-paid payment card.
