DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE
20220169152 · 2022-06-02 ·

A device for controlling a vehicle includes a first sensor that senses boarding of a driver, a second sensor that senses alcohol contained in exhalation of the driver, and a controller that sets a location of a seat such that a distance from the second sensor to the driver becomes a predetermined distance. The vehicle control device may control the seat location such that a distance between the driver and a sensing device is maintained to be equal to or less than the predetermined distance when measuring the alcohol to allow the alcoholic ingredient of the driver to be accurately measured, and may arouse awareness of the driver of the alcohol measurement as the seat location is controlled.

SOBRIETY MONITORING SYSTEM
20230273186 · 2023-08-31 ·

A system and method of monitoring sobriety using a hand-held breath testing device that, on receipt of a user's breath, generates a breath test signal comprising substance content data and user identification data, and wirelessly transmits the breath test signal to a breath test signal receiving station. The breath test signal includes substance content data and user identification data. The substance content data includes at least one of: a blood alcohol level and a narcotics presence. The user identification data includes compressed image data. The signal receiving station is monitored by a supervisor who is able to intervene should the substance level be greater than a predetermined threshold, or should the user identification data no match with a reference user identification data.

RECOGNITION SYSTEM, RECOGNITION METHOD, RECOGNITION PROGRAM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM

In an alcohol detection system, face authentication is performed on a person to be measured before an alcohol detection device starts measurement, and the success of the face authentication performed on the person to be measured triggers the acquisition of camera image information that are images of the face of the person to be measured continuously shot by a camera. In other words, when the face authentication performed on the person to be measured succeeds, the person to be measured starts alcohol detection and images of the face of the person to be measured are continuously shot during the measurement.

Networked intoxication vehicle immobilization

A vehicle immobilization system includes a detection element operable to detect a level of an intoxicant in a user's breath. A control module is operable to receive a signal from the detection element indicating the level of intoxicant in the user's breath, and to selectively restrict operation of a vehicle based on the level of intoxicant in the user's breath exceeding a threshold. A wireless relay is operable to replace a standard relay in the vehicle, and to wirelessly communicate with the control module such that the control module is operable to control the wireless relay to selectively restrict operation of the vehicle.

VEHICLE CONTROL ELEMENT FOR MEASURING CONCENTRATIONS OF SUBSTANCES IN EXHALED AIR AND/OR IN BODY ODOR OF VEHICLE OCCUPANTS

A vehicle control element measures concentrations of substances in air of vehicle, where the air includes the exhalations and/or body odors or other odors from occupants within the vehicle. A measurement chamber on or in the vehicle control element may include at least one first entry hole through which air can be drawn into the measurement chamber; at least one first exit hole through which air can be discharged from the measurement chamber; a polygonal, elliptical, or circular cross section; reflective inside walls; a laser located at a second entry hole in the measurement chamber, with which laser beams are projected into the measurement chamber through the second entry hole; and a detector located at a second exit hole in the measurement chamber with which laser beams exiting the measurement chamber through the second exit hole are detected. The vehicle control element also includes an interface to an evaluation device.

GAS ANALYSIS SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES AND ARRANGEMENT OF SUCH SYSTEMS

A gas analysis system for a vehicle includes a measurement chamber that includes at least one sensor configured for measuring substances in exhalations from vehicle occupants and/or the ambient air in a vehicle interior. The gas analysis system may also include at least one fan placed at a discharge opening for the system and designed to convey air through the measurement chamber, at least one filter located at an intake opening in the system and designed to prevent particles from contaminating the system; at least one first check valve, located between the measurement chamber and the fan, and designed to block a return-flow of the air out of the measurement chamber and/or ambient air from the vehicle interior into the measurement chamber, and a control unit, designed to regulate and/or control the conveyance of air through the measurement chamber.

METHOD AND SYSTEM OF DEPLOYING PORTABLE MONITORING DEVICE
20220142586 · 2022-05-12 ·

A system and method of deploying a portable monitoring device. The method comprises inferring a rate of motion associated with the portable monitoring device; initiating, at a display screen of the portable monitoring device when the rate of motion is above a predetermined threshold, an image capture request; determining, responsive to the image capture request, a violation; and reporting the violation to a remote server communicatively coupled to the portable monitoring device.

METHOD AND SYSTEM OF DEPLOYING IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE FUNCTIONALITY
20230249548 · 2023-08-10 ·

A method and a system of deploying ignition interlock device functionality. The method comprises receiving data in authentication of a user account associated with the IID; rendering a user interface at the mobile computing device, the user interface including indication of a status of the user account associated with the IID; and receiving a selection of a user action responsive to the status of the user account associated with the IID.

System and method of detecting chemicals in products or the environment of products using sensors
11721192 · 2023-08-08 ·

Systems and methods for detecting, monitoring or measuring chemical concentrations in products intended for consumption or the environment of products intended for consumption throughout the supply chain, beginning with producers, processors, packagers, transporters, distributors and ending with retailers and consumers.

PORTABLE BLOWING TYPE ALCOHOL CONCENTRATION MEASURING DEVICE AND MEASURING METHOD

A portable blowing alcohol concentration measuring device is provided, including: a housing, a valve body, a first one-way valve, a second one-way valve and a container. The first one-way valve can be opened and closed between the air inlet of the housing and the valve body; a container is provided at the other end of the housing, and the housing and the container are spaced by a PTFE membrane; the second one-way valve has a suction port connected to a drainage port on the container. The opening and closing of the second one-way valve can make the passage between the suction port and the inside of the valve body to achieve a pass-through. By optimizing the structure and testing method, the alcohol in the exhaled gas is fully dissolved in the solution in the container, and the blood alcohol concentration can be obtained by direct measurement using the fitted function.
