Diagnostic Device
A diagnostic device includes a sensor stack with multiple panels of a porous material disposed in planes parallel to one another and in face-to-face contact with each other. At least a portion of the panels of the porous material include hydrophobic regions and hydrophilic regions configured to provide a sample flow path for migration of a fluid sample through the sensor stack from one panel to another in the hydrophilic regions. A wicking layer is on a major surface of the sensor stack.
Lateral Flow Analyte Detection
Lateral flow methods and apparatuses for detecting one or more analytes are provided. Certain embodiments provide a lateral flow device, kit and method of using the same, comprising: a flow path defined by a permeable sub-assembly of the lateral flow device, a release zone comprising a plurality of peptide-tagged agents, and a detection zone comprising a plurality of anti-peptide agents present in the flow path at a ratio of at least 100:1, on a weight:weight basis, relative to the plurality of peptide-tagged agents.
BIOSENSOR FOR OPTICAL DETECTION OF NUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCE
The present invention relates generally to the field of microelectronics, and more particularly to a structure and method of forming a biosensor having a nucleotide attracting surface tailored to reduce false detection of nucleotides and enabling optical detection of nucleotides. The biosensor may include an analyte-affinity layer on an upper surface of a dielectric layer. The analyte-affinity layer may include a plurality of cylindrical gold portions with dimensions tailored for a target analyte. A distance between adjacent portions of the plurality of portions may range from approximately 50% of a length of a target analyte to approximately 300% of a length of a target analyte. The plurality of portions of the analyte-affinity layer have an upper surface with a diameter ranging from approximately 3 nm to approximately 20 nm.
Fluidic devices and systems for sample preparation or autonomous analysis
The present invention relates to fluidic devices for preparing, processing, storing, preserving, and/or analyzing samples. In particular, the devices and related systems and methods allow for preparing and/or analyzing samples (e.g., biospecimen samples) by using one or more of capture regions and/or automated analysis.
Sensor Device for Biosensing and Other Applications
A sensor suitable for detecting specific analytes, a method for manufacturing the sensor, and a method for using the sensor in a diagnostic procedure provided. In an embodiment, the sensor device includes a substrate, a dielectric layer disposed on the substrate, and a probe layer disposed on the dielectric layer. The probe layer is configured to react with an analyte. The reaction may include: binding with the analyte, undergoing a change in a chemical property of the probe layer, or undergoing a change in a structural property of the probe layer. In examples, an attribute of the dielectric layer is configured to identify the device during a process that determines whether the probe layer has reacted with the analyte.
Sterilization Chemical Indicator
The present disclosure relates generally to chemical indicators. In particular, the chemical indicators are useful for monitoring sterilization processes. The chemical indicator includes a fluid pathway and a chamber comprises a chemical-indicating composition.
MULTIPLEX POLYMERIC DYE DEVICES AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
Multiplex polymeric dye devices are provided. Aspects of the devices include a solid support, and first and second dried polymeric dye compositions distinctly positioned relative to a surface of the solid support. Aspects of the invention further include methods of making and using the devices, e.g., in analyte detection applications, as well as kits containing the devices.
DELAY PROCESS TO PROVIDE TIMED CHEMISTRY TO LATERAL-FLOW IMMUNOASSAYS
The present invention provides for a release system for delaying application of chemical reagents in a lateral-flow immunoassay. A chemistry release fiber comprising a permeable membrane and a chemical release agent is used to delay chemical reagent delivery to the indicator of a lateral-flow immunoassay. Also disclosed is the related method of delaying application of chemical reagents in a lateral-flow immunoassay.
Diagnostic testing assays and related devices with security and methods of use thereof
A secure assay device is disclosed herein that provides: an assay or a test device that provides at least one result, wherein the assay or test device comprises at least one surface which exhibits optical change in response to at least one target particle, at least one marker or a combination thereof; and at least one multi-layer coating that at least partially covers the assay membrane, the assay device or a combination thereof, wherein the multi-layer coating blocks or impairs the user visualization of the optical change, the at least one result or a combination thereof. A secure reader and method of utilizing the secure assay device and secure reader are disclosed herein.
FLUID INSPECTION DEVICE
The present invention provides a fluid inspection device comprising at least one channel including a top channel surface and a bottom channel surface, and a first spacing formed therebetween; at least one chamber communicating with the at least one channel from which a fluid flows into the at least one chamber and including a top chamber surface, a bottom chamber surface and a fluid-filling area and a through opening communicating with the at least one chamber and the outside. A second spacing is formed between the top chamber surface of at least one portion of the fluid-filling area and a corresponding bottom chamber surface thereof, wherein the second spacing is smaller than the first spacing. The fluid inspection device prevents bubbles from producing in the chamber and obstructing the inspection and further allows less required fluid amount in the chamber.
