SPECTRAL SENSOR SYSTEM WITH SPATIALLY MODIFIED CENTER WAVELENGTHS

A sensor system comprises a plurality of sets optical sensors arranged on an integrated circuit, the plurality of sets optical sensors having a respective top surface. The sensor system further comprising an interface between the plurality of optical sensors and a processing device configured to transmit information there between and an array of optical filters having a respective bottom surface and a respective top surface, where the bottom surface of the optical filter array is located proximal to the top surface of the plurality of sets optical sensors and each optical filter of the optical filter array is configured to pass a target wavelength range of light to a set of optical sensors. The processor is configured to receive an output from each optical sensor in a set of optical sensors and determine a corrected filter response for the set of optical sensors using crosstalk from light transmitted through optical filters adjacent to the set of optical sensors.

OPTICAL BANDPASS FILTER

A tunable resonant tunneling gap for resonant tunneling across the tunneling gap. By adjusting the width of the tunneling gap and adjusting an angle of incidence of light onto the tunneling gap, a pass-band shape and center wavelength may be tuned. The tunneling gap may be an air gap between lenses coated with matching Bragg reflectors. The air gap may be adjusted for example using piezo actuators connecting between the lenses. The angle of incidence may be adjusted for example by rotating the lenses, and thus the tunneling gap, relative to an incident beam of light.

Display panel, method for fabricating the same, and display device

A display panel, a method for fabricating the same, and a display device are provided. The display panel includes: a first substrate, and a plurality of pixels in an array on the first substrate, where each pixel includes a plurality of sub-pixels in different colors, and interference filters one-to-one corresponding to the sub-pixels are arranged on light emitting sides of the sub-pixels, and configured to transmit light in narrow bands in the same colors as the corresponding sub-pixels. The interference filters corresponding to the colors of light emitted from the sub-pixels are arranged on the light emitting sides of the sub-pixels so that the light in the narrow bands in the corresponding colors are transmitted, thus improving the saturation of the colors of the emitted light, extending the display color gamut of the display panel, and optimizing the display effect.

Colored structure resulting from color coating technology applied to a base material

A colored structure representing a back side-reflection color with metallic luster and high chroma when observed in a substrate incident mode greatly enhances light absorbance at a specific wavelength using a resonance structure in which a light absorbing material is inserted between a transparent substrate and an upper mirror layer. The colored structure controls metallic luster and texture of a high-chroma color from gloss-semi-gloss-matte texture in various aesthetic ways including introducing a haze surface structure in which light scattering occurs on at least one surface of the transparent substrate.

Optical filter

A bandpass filter may include a set of layers. The set of layers may include a first subset of layers. The first subset of layers may include hydrogenated germanium (Ge:H) with a first refractive index. The set of layers may include a second subset of layers. The second subset of layers may include a material with a second refractive index. The second refractive index may be less than the first refractive index.

Spectral filter comprising at least two coupled Fabry-Perot structures

Disclosed is a spectral filter including a plurality of Fabry-Perot structures which are collectively carried by a support, and coupled together so as to produce a coupling resonance that is distinct from individual resonances of each of the Fabry-Perot structures. The coupling resonance may have a higher quality factor than the quality factors of the individual resonances. Each Fabry-Perot structure includes two portions of metal surfaces which are parallel to a face of the substrate, so that electromagnetic radiation wave components propagating within each Fabry-Perot structure, and which contribute to the coupling resonance, have a direction of propagation that is parallel to the face of the substrate.
