NETWORK-BASED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEFINING AND MANAGING MULTI-DIMENSIONAL, ADVERTISING IMPRESSION INVENTORY
20170330230 · 2017-11-16 ·

A method for representing and managing an inventory of overlapping multi-dimensional items such as advertising or ad impressions. The method uses an inventory management module to generate unique segment identifiers for sets of inventory items by processing descriptions of the sets of impressions including defining criteria. The method includes processing the unique segment identifiers to create a representation of the inventory as a plurality of inventory regions, which may include non-overlapping regions that correspond to inventory items in a single set of the inventory and also include overlapping regions that correspond to inventory items in two or more of the sets (e.g., items that match two or more sets of defining criteria or attributes). Availability and selection of inventory is determined using the information on inventory regions to control effects of cannibalization, such as by implementing logically necessary allocation to only cannibalize a region on a limited or forced basis.

A system receives registrations of users specifying a geographic preference and product preferences for demonstrations. The system likewise receives notifications of available demonstrations from vendors. Relevant demonstrations are identified for each user. In response to detecting a demonstration meeting the user's geographic preference, a notification of the demonstration is transmitted to the user. Notifications may be sent in response to demonstrations within a threshold distance from a location specified by the user, upon the user entering a store near a scheduled time for a relevant demonstration. Notifications may be sent in response to detecting a relevant demonstration within a threshold time from a predicted shopping trip of the user.

Multiple Data Source Date-Based User Interface System and Method
20220044206 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A system and method are presented that integrate date-related data from a variety of disparately defined data sources into a single user interface. Date-related data is defined in tactics that are associated with types. The types are associated with additional field definitions that allow for a single tactic data entity to be created for a variety of tactic types, with different tactic types being associated with different sets of additional fields. Cues are also used to automate the generation of date-related tactics. Cues can be triggered by the creation of trigger tactics of a predetermined type, or through an event in a subscribed database. Individual tactics record estimated and actual expenses for budgeting purposes. Finally, plan hierarchies allow for the integrated viewing of date-based tactics defined at different levels of the hierarchy.

According to certain embodiments of the present invention behavioral patterns are utilized in order to calculate a predicted level of interest of viewers in a specific video item at any given moment throughout the length of the video item. More specifically, according to certain embodiments, this calculation allows to identify instances of peaks of high and low interest throughout the length of the video item. This allows predicting the occurrence of critical moments throughout the video item when it is likely that viewers would abandon the video item on one hand, and moments when viewers are most likely absorbed in the currently presented video, on the other hand. This information allows to capture viewers when their interest in the viewed content is low or decreasing, and to synchronize the presentation of alternative content to these instances.
