PASSENGER-ORIENTED PATH ESTIMATION AND DISPLAY
Embodiments described herein relate to providing path information of a vehicle to vehicle passengers, and the provided path information may be configured according to passenger-related constraints. In one embodiment, a method for providing passenger-oriented path information via an in-flight entertainment system is described. The method includes making a determination that a graphical display of an estimated first path of the commercial passenger vehicle traveling via a route between an origin and a destination intersects a constrained area. The estimated first path is estimated as a straight-line path between consecutive waypoints along the route. The method further includes, based on the determination that the estimated first path intersects the constrained area, determining a second path for display that does not intersect the constrained area. The method further includes causing a display of the second path on an IFE display associated with a passenger.
Personal vehicle management
Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are provided for personalized vehicle management. A current location of a vehicle may be received. A route of the vehicle may be determined based upon a trip library and/or the current location. The trip library may correspond to routes traveled by the user above a travel frequency threshold. A route segment (e.g., a portion of the route that the vehicle will travel within a threshold duration) may be identified. A route segment characteristic (e.g., a weather characteristic, a physical characteristic, a traffic characteristic, etc.) of the route segment may be determined. The route segment characteristic may be provided to a driver assistance component of the vehicle. The driver assistance component may be instructed to alter functionality of the vehicle using a vehicle operational parameter derived from the route segment characteristic.
Presenting suggested routes based on local route ranking
In some implementations, a computing device can proactively determine a destination and request traffic information for routes from a starting location to the destination. In some implementations, a computing device can identify some routes between a starting location and a destination as non-recommended routes and recommend other routes. In some implementations, a computing device can rank routes between a starting location and a destination based on automatically-determined user interest. In some implementations, a computing device can determine a user is familiar with a route and adjust the information presented to the user about the route accordingly.
User familiarization with a novel route for reducing cognitive load associated with navigation
New route information is received. The new route information comprises an origin location, a destination location, and a time. A route is determined based on the new route information. Route data corresponding to the route is analyzed based on a high cognitive load model to identify one or more high cognitive load portions of the route. The route data comprises at least one of (a) point of interest data, (b) entity of interest data, or (c) roadway data. Familiarization information is generated for the high cognitive load portions. The familiarization information comprises (a) familiarization content and (b) a trigger point. The familiarization content is configured to be provided to a user via a user interface of a vehicle apparatus when, based on a location sensor of the vehicle apparatus, it is determined that the vehicle apparatus has reached the trigger point. The familiarization information is provided to the vehicle apparatus.
Method and apparatus for aligning drive segments based on user inputs
An approach is provided for aligning one or more drive segments based on a consensus set of user defined inputs. The approach involves, for example, retrieving manual drive alignment data collected from a plurality of human users, wherein the manual drive alignment data indicates one or more regions of at least two drive data segments selected by the human users to align the at least two drive segments. The approach also involves processing the manual drive alignment data to determine a set of common drive alignment locations of the one or more regions. The approach further involves processing a plurality of subsequent drive segments to automatically align the plurality of subsequent drive segments based on the set of common drive alignment locations.
Load-based mapping
This document describes techniques and apparatuses for load-based mapping. The techniques provide routes for drivers that take into account a cognitive, emotional, or psychological load for the routes. By so doing, a driver can receive a route from one point to another that the driver may better enjoy, feel less tired or stressed by, or take less mental effort to drive.
Guidance assistance apparatus, guidance assistance method, and storage medium for storing program
A guidance assistance apparatus includes: a memory that stores a set of instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the set of instructions to: acquire a guidance route through which a guided person is to be guided from routes from a start-point position to an end-point position; calculate, based on information relating to the routes, an influence level on the guided person in a case in which the guided person deviates from the acquired guidance route, with respect to each of branch places at which the guidance route branches into a route different from the guidance route; and output the calculated influence level.
Apparatus, Systems And Methods For Automatic Steering Guidance And Visualization Of Guidance Paths
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to guidance and visualization systems for autosteering systems of agricultural implements. The system allows the operator to visualize the guidance paths throughout a field map or region to allow for the ability of the operator to make adjustments prior to engaging the auto steering unit, such as to row headings and positions.
ELECTRONIC MAP DISPLAY METHOD AND APPARATUS
Embodiments of the present application disclose an electronic map display method, device, and system. The method includes obtaining, by one or more processors, current driving information, historical driving information, or both, wherein the current driving information, historical driving information, or both are obtained from one or more of a network-side server and a control system of a vehicle, determining, by the one or more processors, display information based at least in part on the current driving information, the historical driving information, or both, and providing, by the one or more processors, an electronic map based at least in part on the display information.
ROUTING DEVICE THAT MODIFIES ROUTE GUIDANCE BASED ON USER INPUT
A vehicle routing device that determines a route from an origin to a destination including route guidance. The route guidance is modified based on user input. The modification can supply increased or reduced route guidance at intervals along the route. Route guidance may be modified to incorporate landmarks and personal contacts.
