BLOOD TEST STRIP DISPENSER
A blood test strip dispenser is provided. The dispenser includes a body having an inner volume and an aperture extending from the inner volume through an outer surface of the body. A plurality of blood test strips are temporarily retained within the inner volume of the body of the dispenser. An actuating device operates to dispense a single blood test strip from within the inner volume through the aperture. A lifting device operates to lift the remaining blood test strips of the plurality of blood test strips after the single blood test strip has been dispensed. Lifting the remaining blood test strips aligns the top blood test strip of the remaining blood test strips with the aperture.

A device for facilitating the testing of a fluid sample on a test strip includes a housing containing a loading receptacle, a support member, a disposal receptacle, a lancet device and a sensor device. The loading receptacle is adapted to receive the test strip. The support member is adapted to support the test strip. The disposal receptacle is adapted to hold the test strip. The sensor device is adapted to analyze the fluid sample. The device further includes a strip control assembly that is adapted to move the test strip from a first position in the loading receptacle to a second position on the support member, and from the second position to a third position in the disposal receptacle. The device may include a sample door that provides access to the test strip in the second position wherein the test strip is operatively engaged with the sensor device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CODING DIAGNOSTIC METERS
A system for diagnostic testing may include a meter for performing a diagnostic test on a sample applied to a test media, the meter having a housing and an interface for receiving a signal representing coding information, and a container configured to contain test media compatible with the meter, the container having a coding element associated therewith. Additionally, the system may provide a mechanism for removing the meter from an interconnected test container and reattaching it to a new container using on-container coding methods that can recalibrate the meter for the new container of test strips.

A dispensing mechanism for dispensing measurement strips is presented having a strip cartridge with an enclosure for retaining a plurality of measurement strips and a dispensing slot for dispensing one measurement strip at a time, a spring rotatably arranged with respect to the strip cartridge, the spring comprising at least one engagement section adapted to engage one of the measurement strips at a time and move it out of the dispensing slot when the spring is rotated, and a guide slot arranged in the strip cartridge for guiding the engagement section of the spring as the spring is rotated.

SENSOR CLIP FOR STACKED SENSOR DISPENSING SYSTEM, AND SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES FOR MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Sensor clip assemblies, sensor clips, analyte testing systems, and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. A sensor clip assembly is disclosed for storing and dispensing analyte testing sensors. The sensor clip assembly includes numerous test sensors arranged in a stack. Each test sensor is configured to assist in testing an analyte in a fluid sample. The sensor clip assembly also includes a skeletal frame with a top, a bottom, and numerous sides. The top, bottom and sides are interconnected to define an internal chamber within which is stored the stack of test sensors. At least one of the sides includes one or more elongated rails with structural gaps on opposing sides thereof. For some configurations, multiple sides of the skeletal frame comprise at least one or multiple elongated rails, each of which has structural gaps on opposing sides thereof and may be columnar in nature.

Interchangeable inserts are provided for a storage container configured to receive a plurality of vertically oriented items, where the inserts include a body having a base, an upper surface having an upper opening, and an upstanding tubular sidewall extending between the base and the upper surface. The base and the tubular sidewall together define an interior space of the insert. The tubular sidewall has an inner surface and an outer surface, where a pair of resilient securing tabs extend laterally from the outer surface of the tubular sidewall.
