A cartridge is for a detection of a sample or a first component, wherein the sample includes the first component and a second component. The cartridge includes a first injection chamber, a second injection chamber, a separation chamber, a collection chamber and a first detection chamber. The first injection chamber and the second injection chamber are adapted for injecting the sample or the first component. The separation chamber is connected to the first injection chamber, and the sample injected from the first injection chamber is adapted to be separated into the first component and the second component in the separation chamber. The collection chamber is connected to the separation chamber and the second injection chamber. The first detection chamber is connected to the collection chamber. A biological detection system is further provided.

Disclosed is a method for detecting chemotaxis of neutrophil, including: mixing a blood sample and an equal volume of glucose, mixing, and standing; taking a supernatant of the blood sample after standing into a centrifuge tube, and centrifuging; adding 1× calcium and magnesium ion-free HBSS into a centrifuged blood sample to re-suspend cell aggregates at bottom; uniformly blowing and dispersing a re-suspended bottom cell aggregates, and slowly adding a polysucrose solution from the bottom of the centrifuge tube to perform density gradient centrifuging treatment; dividing a density gradient centrifuged solution into three layers, pipetting a clear liquid at an upper layer and a PBMC layer at a middle layer to obtain cell aggregates at a bottom layer; lysing erythrocytes in the cell aggregates, then successively adding 2× calcium and magnesium ion-free HBSS and 1× calcium and magnesium ion-free HBSS, mixing, and centrifuging again to obtain neutrophils.

Self-calibrating bilirubin test card system and method
A sample of blood is placed on a bilirubin test strip and plasma separated from the red blood cells. The bilirubin test strip is located on a test card along with a set of calibration images, the colors of the calibration images being associated with known plasma bilirubin levels. A photograph is taken of the test card. The bilirubin level of the blood sample is determined by, within the photograph, interpolating the color of the plasma and the colors of the closest colored calibration images.

There is provided a separation analysis method for analyzing a sample component s included in a sample liquid by introducing the sample liquid into a separation flow path filled with a flow path liquid, the method comprising: obtaining a correction factor representing a proportion of a time period from the first point in time when the sample liquid is introduced into the separation flow path, to the second point in time when an interface between the flow path liquid and the sample liquid reaches a predetermined position at the separation flow path, with respect to a time period from the first point in time to the third point in time when an optical characteristic value of the sample component is measured at the predetermined position, and correcting the measured optical characteristic value with the correction factor.
Non-invasive sample-interrogation device
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an interrogation device that is operable to apply one or more source signals to one or more coils surrounding a volume, where a material is disposed within the volume. Each of the one or more source signals may excite one of the one or more coils, and the behavior of each the one or more coils responsive to the exciting may be monitored. One or more parameters may be determined based on the behavior of each the one or more coils, and the one or more parameters may be utilized to generate a signature for the material within the volume. The signature may be compared to one or more signatures of known materials to identify the material within the volume.
