A data communication cable assembly including a cable with wire and/or optical fiber communication mediums for transmitting data signals and/or power signals, and connectors for connecting to a pair of devices, respectively. Each of the connector includes a connector plug or receptacle configured to mate with a corresponding receptacle or plug of a device, wherein the connector plug or receptacle includes a set of electrical contacts configured to send and/or receive the data signals and/or power signals to and/or from the device; a metallic shell defining an enclosure and including first and second openings, wherein the connector plug or receptacle mate is configured to mate with the corresponding receptacle or plug of the device via the first opening, and wherein the cable extends from inside to outside of the enclosure via the second opening; and electrically-conductive filler material configured to reduce electromagnetic leakage via the first and second openings.
Method and Structure for Conductive Elastomeric Pin Arrays Using Conductive Elastomeric Interconnects and/or metal Caps through a Hole or An Opening in a Non-Conductive Medium
An improved method and structure is provided for constructing elastomeric pin arrays using a non-conductive medium and compression limiters. Pin to pin of the same elastomeric material, pin to pin of similar elastomeric material, or pin to metal cap structure interconnects are constructed using an elastomeric connection through a non-conductive medium. Compression limiting structures are mated to the non-conductive medium. This structure eliminates the need for PCB structures as the medium reducing manufacturing cost.
Apparatus and method for securing components of an integrated circuit
Systems and methods of securing an integrated circuit assembly includes: arranging a plurality of securing elements within a plurality of orifices fabricated within one or more layer components of a plurality of layer components of an integrated circuit assembly; applying a mechanical compression load against the integrated circuit assembly that uniformly compresses together the plurality of layer components of the integrated circuit assembly; after applying the mechanical compression load to the integrated circuit assembly, fastening the plurality of securing elements while the integrated circuit assembly is in a compressed state based on the mechanical compression load; and terminating the application of the mechanical compression load against the integrated circuit assembly based on the fastening of the plurality of securing elements.
CONTACT ELEMENT
A contact element (1) for establishing electric contact between two contact pieces comprises a support grip (2) extending in a longitudinal direction (L) as well as a plurality of contact parts (5,5a, 5b), each of which has a first contact section (6) for contacting one of the two contact pieces (K1, K2), a second contact section (7) for contacting the other one of the two contact pieces (K2, K1), and a fastening section (8) for securing the contact part (5, 5a, 5b) to the support strip (2) at a fastening point (3). Each contact part (5, 5a, 5b) comprises at least one plastically deformable connection element (50) for securing the contact part (5, 5a 5b) to the support strip (2). The at least one connection element (50) forms an integral part of the contact part (5, 5a, 5b).
Stretchable conductive composites for use in soft devices
An elastically-deformable, conductive composite using elastomers and conductive fibers and simple fabrication procedures is provided. Conductive elastomeric composites offer low resistance to electrical current and are elastic over large (>25%) extensional strains. They can be easily interfaced/built into structures fabricated from elastomeric polymers.

A method, comprising: forming a dielectric structure, the structure comprising a first terminal surface, a second terminal surface and a through-hole that extends from the first terminal surface to the second terminal surface, applying an electrically conductive material to at least a portion of the dielectric structure, removing a first portion of the electrically conductive material from the first terminal surface, and removing a second portion of the electrically conductive material from the second terminal surface, a remaining portion of the electrically conductive material constituting at least an inner conductor of a first generally coaxial conductor pair and a first shielding conductor of the first generally coaxial conductor pair, and the inner conductor extending through the through-hole.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE FILM, ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE FILM, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONNECTOR
An anisotropic conductive film is capable of preventing a short circuit between terminals even though narrowing of the interval between connecting terminals advances. An electrically conductive support plate supports a base film having one surface with an adhesive layer.
