A washing device for the ear, nose and throat and the like (10) for domestic use or in medical offices which comprises a body (12) within which the components functional to the operation of the device are housed, a container element (14) defining a tank for a saline solution, a cannula (16) for use by the individual for the washing operations, a cable (18) for connecting to the power supply network.

Collapsible liquid reservoir

A collapsible liquid reservoir has a flexible side wall having a lower step, a middle step and an upper step. Each of the steps includes a riser segment and a tread segment. The riser and tread segments are pivotably connected to one another at an external hinge. When the step is collapsed its segments define an acute step angle between them of about 23°. When the step is expanded its segments define an obtuse step angle between them of about 115°. The tread of at least one step is pivotably connected to the riser of an adjacent step at an internal hinge. The step segments joined to the internal hinge are symmetrical about a bisector of that hinge. The reservoir has a truncated pyramid shape defined by a generally square base and four trapezoidal side panels joined to one another at corners.

SPRAY CANISTER DEVICE

A spray canister device is provided including a canister containing a liquid product, a canister housing having an opening, a chassis element, and a tray slidably coupled to the chassis element. The canister includes an actuator cap and is positioned in the canister housing such that a nozzle of the actuator cap is positioned proximate the opening. The canister housing, and the canister positioned therein, may be engaged with the tray via at least one protruding member. Once engaged, the tray may be slidably moved along the chassis element between a retracted position and an extended position to facilitate relative movement between the canister and the canister housing to compress the actuator cap of the canister and spray the liquid product.

ENEMA DEVICE AND A METHOD OF REFILLING SAID DEVICE WITH AN ENEMA
20220249765 · 2022-08-11 ·

The present invention relates to an enema device comprising a delivery container and an applicator nozzle, and wherein said delivery container comprises two cavities, an outer cavity defined by a squeezable external body, and an inner cavity defined by an inner flexible bladder, and wherein one of said cavities is communicating with an outlet for dispersing the enema though the applicator nozzle and the other cavity is communicating with the surroundings via an air inlet. Thereby is provided a simple, inexpensive and essentially maintenance free enema device which can be used for self-administrating of an enema. The device will not only effectively prevent air from being mixed with the enema, but also ensure that the user easily can expel the enema, as the device will be perceived as full of enema at all times.

Wireless electronic pump design for a body cavity irrigation device

A trans-anal irrigation (TAI) device has a pump base unit, an irrigation fluid reservoir, a wireless electronic controller, fluid tubing, and a disposable rectal catheter in fluid communication with the tubing. The rectal catheter has a retention balloon and a waste control valve. The fluid tubing contains two or three separate lumens for irrigation fluid and retention balloon inflation/deflation and optionally for waste control valve actuation. None of the lumens ever communicates with any other lumen. A hydraulic control circuit has a pump that pumps in one direction only but, with suitable control valves, is able to pump water to and from the retention balloon and to and from an optional waste control valve. A water temperature sensor is mounted in the pump base unit at a thin-wall section. The temperature sensor sends a signal to a controller which provides an indication of whether the water temperature is suitable for use.

ENEMA DEVICE, AND A DELIVERY CONTAINER FOR USE IN SAID ENEMA DEVICE

The present invention relates to an enema device comprising a delivery container arranged for accommodating an enema and an applicator nozzle for dispersing the enema, and wherein the delivery container is arranged as a hand held pump and for remaining in an at least partly compressed configuration when the user releases the pressure on said delivery container during use. Thereby is provided a simple, inexpensive and essentially maintenance free enema device which can be used for self-administrating of an enema.

System and method for monitoring and controlling intrauterine pressure using a pressure cuff

A method of determining a pressure of a body cavity with a controller of a fluid management system includes determining a pressure and a volume of a cuff disposed about a collapsible bag, determining a volume of the collapsible bag based on the pressure and the volume of the cuff, and determining a pressure of the collapsible bag based on the volume of the collapsible bag. The method also includes calculating a fluid flow from the collapsible bag into a body cavity from the collapsible bag and determining a pressure of the body cavity based on the fluid flow.

DEVICES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR IMPROVED ENEMA AND RECTAL IRRIGATION PROCEDURES

Methods of administering an enema to a patient utilizing a fecal management system are disclosed. Such methods may include providing the patient utilizing the fecal management system and providing an enema solution providing apparatus. The enema solution providing apparatus may include a bag containing enema solution, tubing, a tubing connector, and an adjustable clamp. The method may include clamping a catheter of the fecal management system between an irrigation port and an collection bag, engaging the tubing connector with the irrigation port, actuating the adjustable clamp to commence a flow from the bag containing enema solution into the patient through the catheter, completing the flow from the bag containing enema solution into the patient, disengaging the tubing connector from the irrigation port; and unclamping the catheter. Kits for providing an enema through a fecal management system and enema solution providing apparatuses are also disclosed.

Fluid Management Systems and Methods

Fluid management systems are disclosed that include software-controlled, electro-mechanical devices used in combination with single-use or multi-use tubing sets. Functions of the fluid management systems can include fluid pressurization, fluid warming, fluid deficit monitoring (including flow-based and weight-based), suction, fluid collection, and fluid evacuation (including indirect-to-drain and direct-to-drain options). The systems can be configured based on the surgical environment (e.g., operating room or physician office) as well as other user needs and/or preferences.
