Signal receiving apparatus and programmable gain amplifier having mode-switching mechanism
The present invention discloses a programmable gain amplifier having mode-switching mechanism. An operational amplifier includes a first input terminal, a second input terminal and an output terminal. The second input terminal is coupled to a ground terminal. The output terminal generates an output signal. A variable resistor and a first switch are coupled in series between a first terminal and a second terminal that coupled to the first input terminal. A first variable capacitor and a second switch are coupled in series between the first terminal and the second terminal. A second variable capacitor and a third switch are coupled in series between the first terminal and the ground terminal. A low-pass resistor and a low-pass capacitor are coupled in parallel between the first input terminal and the output terminal. An input resistor is coupled between a signal input terminal and the first terminal to receive an input signal from the signal input terminal. The first, the second and the third switches receive a set of mode-switching signals to switch to form a path or an open-circuit.
Differential current source
A current source circuit can include a first amplifier circuit and a second amplifier circuit. Each of the first and second amplifier circuits can be configured to generate respective amplifier output voltages based on a corresponding input voltage and respective feedback voltage. The current source circuit can further include a cross-coupling circuit that can include a first set of resistors and a second set of resistors. The first set of resistors can be configured to establish a first cross-coupling voltage based on the first amplifier output voltage and the second set of resistors can be configured to establish a second cross-coupling voltage based on the second amplifier output voltage. The first and second amplifier circuits can be configured to maintain the first and second cross-coupling voltage at a given voltage amplitude to provide a constant current at an output node of the current source circuit.
Integrated amplifier system
Technologies are described to DC-couple an integrated amplifier system to a source that provides a signal with an unknown DC component, for example to DC-couple an integrated audio codec to an analog microphone. In one aspect, methods include receiving, by an amplifier, a signal having an unknown DC component, and issuing an amplified signal; low pass filtering, with respect to a cutoff frequency, by a feedback circuit coupled between an output of the amplifier and an input of the amplifier, the amplified signal issued at the output of the amplifier to generate a filtered signal having frequencies lower than the cutoff frequency; and injecting, by the feedback circuit, the filtered signal into the input of the amplifier to cancel the unknown DC component below the cutoff frequency.
WIDE BAND DIRECTIONAL COUPLER
A wide band directional coupler is disclosed. The coupler includes a main transmission line connected between an input port and an output port; and a coupling transmission line having a first length and connected between a coupling port and an isolation port, wherein the coupling transmission line is coupled to the main transmission line through a coupling capacitive connection and a mutual inductive connection, wherein at least a distance between the main transmission line and the coupling transmission line varies along the first length of the coupling transmission line such that any one of a capacitance value of the capacitive connection and an inductance value of the inductive connection is characterized by a relatively low value, wherein a coupling factor of the wide band directional couple remains substantially constant throughout an operating frequency band of the wide band directional coupler.
VOLTAGE GENERATION CIRCUIT AND INPUT BUFFER INCLUDING THE VOLTAGE GENERATION CIRCUIT
A voltage generation circuit may include: a first transistor coupled to an internal supply voltage terminal, and configured as a diode-connected transistor; a second transistor coupled to the first transistor and configured as a diode-connected transistor; and a third transistor coupled between the second transistor and a ground voltage terminal, and configured to operate according to a first reference voltage generated based on an external supply voltage. The voltage generation circuit may limit a variation in level of a second reference voltage which is generated through a drain terminal of the second transistor as a threshold voltage of the second transistor rises according to a rise in level of the internal supply voltage.
High-linearity variable gain amplifier and electronic apparatus

The variable gain amplifier includes a first transconductance stage circuit and a second transconductance stage circuit, where the first transconductance stage circuit includes a first amplifying circuit and a second amplifying circuit, the second transconductance stage circuit includes a third amplifying circuit and a fourth amplifying circuit, the first amplifying circuit and the fourth amplifying circuit form a differential input pair, and the second amplifying circuit and the third amplifying circuit form a differential input pair, and where each amplifying circuit of the first amplifying circuit, the second amplifying circuit, the third amplifying circuit, and the fourth amplifying circuit includes a plurality of parallel transistors, and bias control of the plurality of transistors is independent of each other.

A receiver circuit may be provided. The receiver circuit may include a first duty cycle adjuster configured to correct a duty cycle of a first output signal pair. The receiver circuit may include a second duty cycle adjuster configured to correct a duty cycle of a second output signal pair, based on the first output signal pair, after the first duty cycle adjuster performs a correction on the duty cycle of the first output signal pair.

Transformers and methods for fabricating transformers
A transformer includes multiple differential ports and first and second transformer windings. The first transformer winding includes a first transformer half-winding coupled to a first differential port of the differential ports. The first transformer winding also includes a second transformer half-winding coupled to a second differential port of the differential ports. An amplifier system that has a transformer is also provided. The amplifier system includes a first and a second stage amplifier. The first stage amplifier includes a first and a second amplifier. The second stage amplifier includes a third and a fourth amplifier. The transformer is coupled between the first stage amplifier and the second stage amplifier, where the transformer has a primary loop and a secondary loop. The primary loop of the transformer may be configured to receive differential signals of the first amplifier. A method for fabricating a transformer is also provided.
