Methods, systems, and devices of providing portions of recorded game content in response to a trigger
Embodiments include a system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a current trigger during a video game and determining a group of players involved in the current trigger. Further embodiments include recording a trigger clip of game content for each player in the group of players resulting in a group of trigger clips. Each trigger clip of the group of trigger clips is a portion of game content that includes the current trigger from a perspective of each player of the group of players. Additional embodiments include providing the group of trigger clips to a group of gaming devices over a communication network. Each gaming device of the group of gaming devices is associated with one player of the group of players. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CAPTURING AND SHARING CONSOLE GAMING DATA
A system and method for capturing and sharing console gaming data is described. Embodiments capture gameplay data directly at the gaming console, without the need for external hardware. This allows users to easily capture rich console gaming experiences and share them across a variety of outlets. In one embodiment, the methods described herein can be implemented with a patch or driver on the operating system of the user device, rendering it unnecessary to heavily modify the source code of the game.
Automatic generation of video playback effects
In various examples, recordings of gameplay sessions are enhanced by the application of special effects to relatively high(er) and/or low(er) interest durations of the gameplay sessions. Durations of relatively high(er) or low(er) predicted interest in a gameplay session are identified, for instance, based upon level of activity engaged in by a gamer during a particular gameplay session duration. Once identified, different variations of video characteristic(s) are applied to at least a portion of the identified durations for implementation during playback. The recordings may be generated and/or played back in real-time with a live gameplay session, or after completion of the gameplay session. Further, video data of the recordings themselves may be modified to include the special effects and/or indications of the durations and/or variations may be included in metadata and used for playback.
REACTIONS OF FAILED ATTEMPTS DURING POINTS OF GAMEPLAY
A method and system for integrating media of past gameplay into overlays is disclosed. A plurality of trigger points associated with one or more interactive content titles is stored. Each trigger point is associated with a plurality of possible results of an activity in a respective interactive content title. Each of the possible results associated with one or more media files depicting the associated result of the activity. Gameplay data sent over a communication network of a current activity is monitored. The monitored gameplay data that indicates a possible result associated with the current activity is identified. The stored media files is filtered based on the identified result of the identified trigger point associated with the current activity. An overlay display of at least one of the filtered media files is generated and provided to the client device for presentation in association with the current gameplay session.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES OF SOCIAL NETWORKING WITH PORTIONS OF RECORDED GAME CONTENT
Embodiments include a system and method that facilitate detecting a request from a player to share a trigger clip of a video game, preparing the trigger clip for sharing and sharing the trigger clip in a message to a third party or to a social media destination. Additional embodiments include storing one or more trigger clips in a library where the trigger clips are available for searching and review by players and others. Advantages include making the trigger clips available for subsequent review, training, coaching and other purposes.
VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of recording a seamless customised video recording of a video game, the method comprising the steps of: video recording a first run-through of at least a part of the video game; saving a saved-game state of a first game state of the video game, the saved-game state enabling a game state of the video game to be reset to the saved-game state that is at least visually identical to the first game state; detecting, in response to the saving of the saved-game state, a time within the video recording of the first run-through corresponding to the time the saved-game state is saved; video recording, when the game state is reset to the saved-game state, another run-through from the saved-game state; and editing the video recording of the first run-through by replacing some or all the video recording of the first run-through recorded from the detected time with the video recording of the other run-through when the other run-through meets a predetermined preference criterion.
Cloud-based game slice generation and frictionless social sharing with instant play
Methods enable creation of a game slice from a game. Plurality of games is provided for presentation on a display device. Each game is identified by an image. Selection activity is detected at the image of one of the games. In response to the selection, game code of the selected game is executed to enable game play of an unlocked game. The selected game is streamed to the display device. User interaction related to the game play is received. A recording of the game play is examined to identify portions of the game for generating a game slice, which are returned in a suggested list for selection. Game slice is generated for a selected portion from the list. A recording of the game play for the game slice is associated as a primary video segment. The game slice and the primary video segment are provided for sharing over a network.
Extensible dictionary for game events
A game-agnostic event detector can be used to automatically identify game events. Event data for detected events can be written to an event log in a form that is both human- and process-readable. Descriptive text for the event data can come from a common event dictionary that is hierarchical in nature, such that events of the same type can be correlated across different games even though the precise nature or appearance of those events may be different. The event data can be used for various purposes, such as to generate highlight videos or provide player performance feedback.
Game apparatus and computer readable storage medium storing game program
Instead of using an operation inputted by a player, a series of operation data for continuously moving a player character for a predetermined time period of a game is previously stored as automatic operation data. Automatic control means moves the player character based on the automatic operation data. Furthermore, the automatic control means receives a play start operation indicating that the player starts to play the game while the automatic control means moves the player character. A movement of the player character controlled based on the automatic operation data is finished at a time when the play start operation is received, and the movement of the player character starts to be controlled based on an operation of the player.
Method for multicasting views of real-time streaming interactive video
Systems and methods for creating and delivering an interactive display of thumbnail windows of visual content of different video game sessions are presented. In one embodiment, a method provides for sending, by a server of a service, an interactive interface for display on display of a client device. The interactive interface has a set of thumbnail windows and each thumbnail window depicts visual content of different video game sessions being played. Responsive to a selection of a thumbnail window by a user of the client device, the method provides for sending a video stream associated with the selected thumbnail window from the set of thumbnail windows. The video stream enables the user of the client device to view interactive game play of a video game associated with the video stream.
