CONTENT PROVIDING METHOD AND CONTENT PROVIDING APPARATUS
Provided are a content providing method and a content providing apparatus. The content providing method may receive an input on time information about a time at which content is to be provided, may modify the content to prevent a playback time of the content from exceeding the time information, and may provide the modified content.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES OF PROVIDING PORTIONS OF RECORDED GAME CONTENT IN RESPONSE TO A TRIGGER
Embodiments include a system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a current trigger during a video game and determining a group of players involved in the current trigger. Further embodiments include recording a trigger clip of game content for each player in the group of players resulting in a group of trigger clips. Each trigger clip of the group of trigger clips is a portion of game content that includes the current trigger from a perspective of each player of the group of players. Additional embodiments include providing the group of trigger clips to a group of gaming devices over a communication network. Each gaming device of the group of gaming devices is associated with one player of the group of players. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
VIRTUAL REALITY IMAGE PLAYING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PLAYING MULTIPLE VIRTUAL REALITY IMAGES BY USING ONE STREAMING IMAGE
The present invention provides a virtual reality image playing device, the device comprising: a streaming image input unit for receiving, through streaming, one streaming image including multiple virtual reality images captured in different directions at an identical time and at an identical point; a streaming time operation unit for adding a play position of a currently playing virtual reality image to a reference time of a virtual reality image to be newly played; and an image playing unit for playing a streaming image, which has been streamed, on a display device. When virtual reality images captured in different directions are to be played as a gaze of a user changes, the virtual reality image playing device plays multiple virtual reality images by using one streaming image by performing a streaming time jump of a streaming image, using a reference time at which an individual virtual reality image starts.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS FOR A VIDEO GAME PLAYER USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)
The disclosure provides a method and system for automatically generating video highlights for a video game involving one or more players. To start with, the method and system extracts game-related information or statistics from an in-game event stream and from one or more data sources using a plurality of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and analyses the in-game event stream using an AI module. In an ensuing step, the method and system predicts a win probability of the game in real-time based on the game-related information and detects if the win probability of the game fluctuates beyond a predefined threshold using the AI module. In response to detecting that the win probability fluctuates beyond a predefined threshold, the method and system correlates one or more significant in-game events with the win probability fluctuations. Thereafter, video highlights of the game are generated based on the one or more significant in-game events.
DETERMINING HIGH-INTEREST DURATIONS OF GAMEPLAY SESSIONS FROM USER INPUTS
In various examples, durations of relatively high user activity within a gameplay session may be determined from user input events using a running user activity measurement. Once a duration is identified, it may be further analyzed to merge the duration with one or more other durations and/or to determine or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. A user interest score for an identified duration may be computed based on a set of the user input events that occur in the duration and used to determine and/or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. In some cases, an action may be performed based on determining the user interest score is greater than a statistical value that is computed from user interest scores of multiple identified durations.
Cloud-Based Game Slice Generation and Frictionless Social Sharing with Instant Play
Methods enable creation of a game slice from a game. Plurality of games is provided for presentation on a display device. Each game is identified by an image. Selection activity is detected at the image of one of the games. In response to the selection, game code of the selected game is executed to enable game play of an unlocked game. The selected game is streamed to the display device. User interaction related to the game play is received. A recording of the game play is examined to identify portions of the game for generating a game slice, which are returned in a suggested list for selection. Game slice is generated for a selected portion from the list. A recording of the game play for the game slice is associated as a primary video segment. The game slice and the primary video segment are provided for sharing over a network.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR DYNAMICALLY APPLYING EQUALIZER PROFILES
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, an embodiment for detecting a map associated with a gaming session for a video game executing on a computing device associated with a first user, and obtaining a map equalizer profile associated with the map for the video game. Further embodiments can include determining a first avatar, associated with the first user, is located within a first environment of the map for the video game, and obtaining a first environment equalizer profile associated with the first environment. Additional embodiments can include providing first instructions to the computing device associated with the first user according to the map equalizer profile and the first environment equalizer profile. The first instructions indicate to the computing device to adjust audio output of the video game according to the map equalizer profile and the first environment equalizer profile.
Methods, systems, and devices of providing multi-perspective portions of recorded game content in response to a trigger
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device that has a memory to store instructions and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein responsive to executing the instructions, the processor performs operations that include defining a group of perspectives around an avatar controlled by a player of a video game, detecting a current trigger during the video game, recording a trigger clip of game content for each perspective in the group of perspectives resulting in a group of trigger clips, wherein each trigger clip of the group of trigger clips is a portion of game content that includes the current trigger from each perspective of the group of perspectives, and providing the group of trigger clips over a communication network to a gaming device utilized by the player. Additional embodiments are disclosed.
REPLAY EDITOR IN VIDEO GAMES
A gaming system may allow for a user to capture and/or edit simulation state data of gameplay in a video game such that a replay of the gameplay may be rendered and/or shared. The gaming system may receive simulation state data and a request. The simulation state data may include simulation state(s) which include a model and pose state of an avatar corresponding to a player in a game simulation of a video game previously rendered as rendered view(s). The request may request a replay of the simulation state data with modification(s). The gaming system may modify the simulation state data to generate modified simulation state data and render, based on the modified simulation state data, replay view(s) that differ from the previously rendered view(s). The gaming system may then output the replay view(s) to a display of a computing device.
