The second side may be opposite the first side. The lead attach portion may be in a plane substantially parallel with a plane formed by the die attach portion.

In one example, the semiconductor device comprises a first semiconductor die comprising a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a contact pad disposed on the first surface, a further contact pad spaced apart from the semiconductor die, a clip comprising a first layer of a first metallic material and a second layer of a second metallic material different from the first metallic material, wherein the first layer of the clip is connected with the contact pad, and the second layer of the clip is connected with the further contact pad.

Method of manufacturing semiconductor device
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes: forming a first electrode and a second electrode on an insulating layer so as to be apart from each other; forming a barrier made of same material as a metal terminal on a peripheral portion of an ultrasonic bonding portion of the metal terminal; and applying pressing force and ultrasonic vibration to the ultrasonic bonding portion of the metal terminal by using an ultrasonic tool to ultrasonically bond the metal terminal to the first electrode.
