The patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some land areas of the plurality of land areas surround at least some apertures of the plurality of apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 3% to about 30%, according to the Aperture Test herein. The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape.
COMPOSITE LAMINATE FLAME BARRIER FOR A THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATION BLANKET
A multilayer laminate comprising in order, a polymeric film layer capable of withstanding a temperature of at least 200 C for at least 10 min, an adhesive layer having an areal weight of from 2 to 40 gsm capable of activation at a temperature of from 75 to 200 degrees C. and an inorganic refractory layer wherein the refractory layer comprises platelets in an amount at least 85% by weight with a dry areal weight of 15 to 50 gsm and has a residual moisture content of no greater than 10 percent by weight.
Methods of making paper and labels
Paper is disclosed for use in making repositionable or removable adhesive labels. The adhesive can be applied in patches or discrete areas to the paper or to a layer of material that cleans rollers in the manufacturing line and/or in printers. The adhesive can be applied in single or multiple layers. The paper is light weight paper and preferably thermal paper for use in POS printers.
Graphene mounted on aerogel
An apparatus having reduced phononic coupling between a graphene monolayer and a substrate is provided. The apparatus includes an aerogel substrate and a monolayer of graphene coupled to the aerogel substrate.
Laminated aluminum oxide cover component
A cover glass for an electronic display comprises a plurality of layers of sapphire material, each of the layers having a substantially single crystal plane orientation, with adjacent layers having different substantially single crystal plane orientations. One or more interface layers are defined between adjacent layers of the sapphire material, with the adjacent layers of sapphire material bonded together at the one or more interface layers. A display window is defined in the cover glass, and configured for viewing a viewable area of the electronic display through the plurality of layers of the sapphire material bonded together at the one or more interface layers.
Epitaxial base
An epitaxial base is provided. The epitaxial base includes a substrate and a carbon nanotube layer. The substrate has an epitaxial growth surface and defines a plurality of grooves and bulges on the epitaxial growth surface. The carbon nanotube layer covers the epitaxial growth surface, wherein a first part of the carbon nanotube layer attached on top surface of the bulges, and a second part of the carbon nanotube layer attached on bottom surface and side surface of the grooves.
Laminate substrates having radial cut metallic planes
A laminate substrate for receiving a semiconductor chip. Included are laminate layers stacked to form the laminate substrate, each laminate layer includes a core that includes particle-filled epoxy and a metallic layer on the core. At least one laminate layer has a radial cut through the metallic layer, the radial cut extending from a periphery of the at least one laminate layer towards a center of the at least one laminate layer. The radial cut cuts only through the metallic layer and does not cut through the core.
PERFORATED CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE PLY, CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE ARTICLE
A ceramic matrix composite article, method for forming the article, and perforated ply which may be incorporated therein are disclosed. The article includes at least one shell ply forming an exterior wall having first and second portions and defining a plenum. An annular brace formed of at least one structural support ply is disposed within the plenum, including a first integral portion integral with and part of the first portion of the exterior wall, a first curved portion extending from the first integral portion and curving across the article plenum to the second portion of the exterior wall, a second integral portion integral with and part of the second portion of the exterior wall, a second curved portion extending from the second integral portion and curving across the article plenum to the first curved portion, and an overlap in which the first and second curved portions are integral.
COMPOSITE SKIN MATERIAL FOR VEHICLE
A composite skin material for a vehicle includes a fibrous substrate, a polyurethane resin layer provided on the front side of the fibrous substrate, and a woven fabric adhered to the back side of the fibrous substrate through an adhesive layer comprising a polyurethane resin. Openings penetrating the fibrous substrate from the front of the polyurethane resin layer are provided in the composite skin material, and an opening ratio on the front of the polyurethane resin layer is 1 to 15%. The woven fabric has a warp density of 25 to 50 yarns/25.4 mm and a weft density of 30 to 50 yarns/25.4 mm, and the mass per unit area of the adhesive layer is 15 to 100 g/m.sup.2. The composite skin material has air permeability of 5 to 100 cm.sup.3/cm.sup.2.Math.s, tear strength of 20 to 150N, and tensile strength of 50 N/cm or more.
Composite manufacturing method
A method of manufacturing a panel, the panel comprising a composite skin and at least one composite stiffener, the method comprising: positioning first and second mandrels on opposite sides of the stiffener; positioning first and second compaction tools on opposite sides of the skin; and compacting the skin between the first and second compaction tools by moving one or both of the compaction tools, wherein the movement of the compaction tool(s) causes the first and second mandrels to move towards the stiffener along inclined paths so as to compact the stiffener between the mandrels.
