DOSING SYRINGE
A dosing syringe comprising a barrel and a piston is provided. The piston is slidably receivable in the barrel and can move within the barrel from a maximum inserted position to a withdrawn position to draw a dose of product into the barrel. The syringe comprises means for pre-setting the withdrawn position, whereby to define the maximum dose which can be drawn into the barrel.
Apparatus and methods for purging catheter systems
Apparatus and methods for providing controlled pressure-flow pulses which purge a catheter system with turbulent flow flushing. Accomplishment of such controlled pressure-flow pulses is provided by a variety of inventive devices including a special plunger rod for a conventional syringe, other interactive parts for conventional syringes, an in-line catheter attachable device which automatically generates the controlled pressure-flow pulses and also single pulse, digitally operated devices.
Automatic injection device for multiple dosing
A medical injection device used to deliver multiple doses of medication, including: a medication container having a movable piston; a push rod assembly having a plurality of spaced-apart position settings disposed along the length, the push rod assembly displacing the movable piston to dispense medication from the medication container; a spring to bias the push rod assembly to move toward the distal end of the medical injection device; a releasable restraining member configured to restrain the push rod assembly in a locked state against the biasing of the spring, upon release of the releasable restraining member, the push rod assembly moves toward the distal end of the medical injection device; and an arming mechanism configured to move the push rod assembly toward the proximal end of the medical injection device.
Medical injector with ratcheting plunger
A medical injector, including a body with a displaceable plunger, which has at least one set of ratchet teeth, each set having a plurality of spaced-apart ratchet teeth disposed along the length thereof. At least one indexer is formed to engage the plunger. The indexer is configured to allow the plunger to displace distally toward the distal end of the body but not proximally toward the proximal end of the body. An actuator has a rocker pivotally connected thereto, the rocker being of single-piece construction and having an engagement portion formed to engage the ratchet teeth. The indexer and the rocker engage the same set of ratchet teeth. The rocker is pivotally connected at a first portion thereof to the body to rotate about an axis disposed on the body and pivotally connected at a second portion thereof to a link to rotate about an axis disposed on the link.
Fluid dispensing device
A fluid dispensing device having a barrel having a lumen for containing a fluid therein and a flexible structure extending from the barrel. A plunger is axially slidable within the lumen to dispense fluid from the barrel, the plunger having a first set of grooves spaced apart a first distance and a second set of grooves spaced apart a second distance. The flexible structure includes a flexible arm extending transversely with respect to the barrel and configured to engage the grooves.
PLUNGER SLACK SYRINGE
The present specification relates to a syringe comprising a barrel, a plunger moveably arranged within the barrel and a plunger rod for driving the plunger, and a mechanism for providing feedback to a user as the plunger rod is moved relative to the barrel for driving said plunger such that feedback is given to a user as the plunger rod is moved relative to the barrel for driving the plunger. The plunger rod is arranged to drive the plunger such that a predetermined relative movement between at least a portion of the plunger od and the plunger is allowed. The present specification further relates to a plunger assembly wherein a predetermined relative movement between at least a portion of the plunger rod and the plunger is allowed
Actuation Mechansim for a Medicament Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, an actuation mechanism (40) arranged inside said housing, the actuation mechanism comprising a plunger rod (42) arranged to act on a stopper (18) of a medicament container (16); an actuator (84) arranged slidable and connected to the plunger rod (42) for acting on the stopper (18) when said actuator (84) is operated by displacing it in a longitudinal direction of the actuation mechanism (40); an activator (104) rotatably arranged for activating said actuation mechanism and for setting a dose; said activator (104) comprising a generally tubular activator sleeve (148), said activator sleeve (148) comprises protrusions (150) arranged to interact with ledges (90) on said actuator (84) such that said activator sleeve (148) is rotated when said actuator (84) is operated. The invention is characterised in a first audio generating mechanism comprising audio generating elements (94) and said protrusions (150), which protrusions (150) are arranged to cooperate with said audio generating elements (94) for generating an audible signal after said operation for delivering a dose.
Generating augmented reality images using sensor and location data
Embodiments relate to using sensor data and location data from a device to generate augmented reality images. A mobile device pose can be determined (a geographic position, direction and a three dimensional orientation of the device) within a location. A type of destination in the location can be identified and multiple destinations can be identified, with the mobile device receiving queue information about the identified destinations from a server. A first image can be captured. Based on the queue information, one of the identified destinations can be selected. The geographic position of each identified destination can be identified, and these positions can be combined with the mobile device pose to generate a second image. Finally, an augmented reality image can be generated by combining the first image and the second image, the augmented reality image identifying the selected one destination.
Plunger for Syringes and Syringes
A plunger for a syringe may include a plunger head for fluid dense limiting a fluid chamber of the syringe, and a piston rod fixed to the plunger head. The piston rod may be formed by several longitudinally extending axial webs that have an outwardly radial extension from the longitudinal axis and lead into a common crossing section. A free activation edge, which radially protrudes the radial extension, may be provided on the piston rod and engageable with a vibration activator of a hollow body of the syringe to emit an acoustic signal. A swinging arm body may be arranged between two axial webs and couple the activation edge with the crossing section such that in case of a vibration activation in an axial direction the swinging arm body has a radial swinging arm length between the activation edge and the crossing section of at least 40% of the radial extension.
Track-indexed syringe
The present invention relates to a finger grip (1) arranged to be connected to a syringe barrel having a plunger and a plunger rod for driving said plunger. The finger grip comprises a body having a lower side with finger supporting surfaces (13) for supporting fingers of a user during handling and an engagement member (5) being moveable between an inactive position where the engagement member is arranged not to engage with the plunger rod of the syringe barrel and an active position where the engagement member is arranged to engage with a grooved surface on the plunger rod of the syringe such that feedback is given to a user as the plunger is moved relative to the finger grip. An activation member (7) for moving the engagement member from said inactive position to said active position is built-in into the finger grip.
