In some embodiments, a method can include providing a glass sheet to a fog chamber, providing fog to an enclosure of the fog chamber, and contacting a major surface of the glass sheet with the fog by passing the fog from the enclosure through a passage in the enclosure.
Method for deterministic finishing of a chuck surface
In a deterministic setting for finishing the support surface of a chuck such as a wafer chuck, the treatment tool may have a contacting surface shaped as a ring, annulus, or toroid, or at least such will be the form of contact when the treatment tool is brought into contact with a flat surface. The treatment tool may have about the same hardness as the work piece (e.g., the wafer chuck) that is being finished. In one embodiment, the treatment tool, or at least the flat contacting surface, is made from silicon carbide (SiC), or contains SiC, for example, in the form of a composite material such as reaction-bonded SiC.
Method for multiple cutoff machining of rare earth sintered magnet
A rare earth magnet block is cutoff machined into pieces by rotating cutoff abrasive blades. Improvements are made by setting the blades on one side of the magnet block, rotating the blades, starting machining operation to form cutting grooves in the magnet block from one side, interrupting the machining operation, moving the blades to the other side of the magnet block, and restarting the machining operation to form cutting grooves in the magnet block from the other side, until the cutting grooves formed from the one and other sides merge with each other.
Wheel grinding device
A wheel grinding device consists of a lower lifting rotary system, spoke grinding units, a center hole grinding system and an upper lifting and clamping rotary system. The wheel grinding device not only can be used for grinding the center hole of a wheel of any size via brush units of the center hole grinding system, but also can be used for grinding the back of wheel spokes of different sizes and shapes via the actions of brush belts of the spoke grinding units.
Automatic polishing system
Provided is an automatic polishing system that allows a polishing treatment of an article while circumventing a polishing averting portion of the article. A polisher is attached to a leading end portion of a movable arm of a work robot. A control device controls the work robot and the polisher, based on position information of a polishing target surface of an article, so that the polisher is moved along the polishing target surface by a movement of the work robot while providing a polishing action on the polishing target surface at the same time. An image of the article including an image of an area demarcation marker annexed to the article for demarcating the area of the polishing target surface is captured by a three-dimensional image capturing machine. The control device produces the position information of the polishing target surface by determining the position of the area demarcation marker based on image data of the image.
POLISHING AND LOADING/UNLOADING COMPONENT MODULE
A polishing and loading/unloading component module comprises a loading/unloading module in the center and two polishing modules on both sides of the loading/unloading module. The loading/unloading module includes a loading/unloading table module which has two loading/unloading positions in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the two polishing modules. The loading/unloading table module can move back and forth between the two loading/unloading positions, or the two loading/unloading positions are provided with loading/unloading table modules apiece, corresponding to the two polishing modules respectively.
