GOLF CLUB HEAD
A golf club head includes a center of gravity spaced less than 5 mm from a vertical center plane that is perpendicular to a striking face plane and extends through a striking face center. The golf club head also includes a first component having a first melting point and a first density and a second component having a second melting point higher than the first melting point and a second density less than the first density. And the second component (i) is at least partially encapsulated by the first component, (ii) extends into a hosel portion below a hosel bore, and (iii) has a mass less than about 5 g.
GOLF BALL MANUFACTURING METHOD
A golf ball manufacturing method includes an inner layer molding step of molding an inner layer that includes an outer surface with a recess, an inner film formation step, after the inner layer molding step, of coating the outer surface of the inner layer with inner film paint to form an inner film, an inner film removal step, after the inner film formation step, of removing the inner film except for a portion thereof covering a surface of the recess to obtain an inner ball that includes the inner layer and the inner film, and a cover layer molding step, after the inner film removal step, of molding a cover layer that includes an outer surface with dimples on an outer circumferential side of the inner ball to obtain a golf ball. The inner layer and inner film are different colors, and the cover layer is transparent or semi-transparent.
PROCESS OF OVER-MOLDING A THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER OVER FABRIC PIECES
A method of over-molding a thermoplastic material over fabric includes: precision forming a mold cavity to match the final dimensions of a finished product; cutting a piece of fabric to a correct size; fixedly securing the fabric piece in the mold cavity; and injecting a thermoplastic material into the mold cavity at an appropriate temperature and pressure, on top of the fabric piece. The method may further include heating the thermoplastic material to a temperature for melting a surface layer of the fabric when injected thereon, and cooling of the thermoplastic material and fabric for bonding of the thermoplastic material to the surface of the fabric. The method may further include adding one or more additives from the group of additives consisting of: a UV stabilizer, an anti-blocking agent, a slip agents, a plasticizer, and a flame retardant; and securing a cord member onto an exposed portion of the fabric.
Expanded Pellets and Method for Manufacturing Molded Components Using Them
The invention refers to a method for producing expanded polymer pellets, which comprises the following steps: melting a polymer comprising a polyamide; adding at least one blowing agent; expanding the melt through at least one die for producing an expanded polymer; and pelletizing the expanded polymer. The invention further concerns polymer pellets produced with the method as well as their use, e.g. for the production of cushioning elements for sports apparel, such as for producing soles or parts of soles of sports shoes. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method for the manufacture of molded components, comprising loading pellets of an expanded to polymer material into a mold, and connecting the pellets by providing heat energy, wherein the expanded polymer material of the pellets or beads comprises a chain extender. The molded components may be used in broad ranges of application.
Radome Structure Having Heating and Lighting Function and Method Therefor
A method for a radome structure having a heating and a light emitting function according to the present invention comprises forming a three dimensional shape with a film part comprising a film, and a light emitting circuit and a heating circuit printed on the film in a stack; cutting the film part, and integrating an upper cover, a lower cover, and the film part disposed between the upper and the lower cover, into one body using one of a bonding process or an injection-molding process.
SEMICONDUCTOR PACKAGE, RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT, AND METHOD OF MOLDING RESIN MOLDED PRODUCT
A semiconductor package includes a flat plate-shaped terminal integrally formed with a housing portion for a semiconductor chip and a rod-shaped terminal pin that penetrates through a through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal. On a surface of the plate-shaped terminal, a resin guide portion for guiding the terminal pin to the through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal is provided. The resin guide portion is a portion of the housing portion and has a through-hole that is continuous with the through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal. During assembly of the semiconductor package, the terminal pin is inserted into the through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal, via the through-hole of the resin guide portion. A sidewall of the through-hole of the resin guide portion and a sidewall of the through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal have a same slope and form a single continuous surface; a border between the through-hole of the resin guide portion and the through-hole of the plate-shaped terminal is free of any step.
STATOR HOUSING FOR AN AXIAL FLUX MACHINE
Described herein is a method of manufacturing a housing for the stator of an axial flux permanent magnet machine. The housing has a cylindrical wall including a metal outer ring lined with a polymer inner ring. The method includes positioning the metal outer ring in an injection moulding machine, and with the injection moulding machine injection moulding a polymer resin onto an inner surface of the metal outer ring to fabricate the polymer inner ring. The polymer inner ring includes a gripping surface arranged to grip a portion of the outer ring, for example moulded around a formation on an inner surface of the metal outer ring. The housing is manufactured using the metal outer ring and the polymer inner ring.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING ACCESSORIES FOR WASHBASINS AND SINKS IN GENERAL, PARTICULARLY OF THE TYPE OF COVERS AND SHELVES
