Compound sinusoidal wheel applicable to materials handling equipment
A materials handling equipment has blades of a lifting fork wherein each of the blades engages a blade wheel that moves between a retracted position when the blade is lowered and an extended position when the blade is raised to lift and support a load. The blade wheels have a plurality of tires linearly aligned on a common axis, the tires each having a circular circumference and a sinusoidally varying peripheral surface. The sinusoidally varying peripheral surfaces have relative peaks and valleys uniformly spaced around the circular circumference wherein the peaks and valleys are mutually nested.

The invention relates to a wheel, especially for motor vehicles, comprising a wheel rim and a wheel disc, the wheel rim having a rim base made of fiber composite material. The invention is characterized in that the wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) can be indirectly connected to the wheel rim (1), in particular the rim base (2), by means of a connecting element (5, 14, 22, 31, 35, 42) which is designed and associated with the rim base (2) in such a way that the connected wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) is not in contact with the rim base (2).

Systems and methods for implementing a battery swapping system for an electrically powered vehicle. The vehicle includes a propulsion system, a first battery powering the propulsion system, and another power source powering the propulsion system. The vehicle further includes a controller configured to enable unloading the first battery to a first charging station by propulsion of the vehicle towards and then away from the first charging station. The controller is further configured to subsequently enable loading a second battery from a second charging station by propulsion of the vehicle powered by the another power source towards the second charging station.
Valve with frangible fitting
A valve for an air brake system on a commercial vehicle comprises a body, an inlet port connected to the body and at least one delivery port connected to the body. The inlet port has a threaded portion distal to the body and a hex portion proximate to the body. The hex portion includes a frangible feature in substantially the mid-point of the hex portion such that the valve can easily be removed from an air brake reservoir when the valve is broken at the frangible feature.

A hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor, an engine including an exhaust gas purifying unit, and an engine clutch disposed between the electric motor and the engine. A method of controlling the hybrid vehicle includes determining a driving environment condition including a first condition related to at least a driving load when a request for operating the exhaust gas purifying unit is received, determining a state of the engine clutch and an operation condition of the exhaust gas purifying unit when the exhaust gas purifying means operates according to the result of determining the driving environment condition, and operating the exhaust gas purifying unit while maintaining the determined state of the engine clutch when the driving environment condition is satisfied.

A drive control method controls a drive control amount of a subject vehicle so that the subject vehicle may take a prescribed position with respect to lane markings of a lane in which the subject vehicle is running and reduces a drive control amount adopted when a lateral position of one of the lane markings along which the subject vehicle is running moves in a different direction from a lateral position of the other lane marking smaller than a drive control amount adopted when lateral positions of both the lane markings move in the same direction.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE
An electric vehicle includes drive systems, a control apparatus that controls the drive systems, and wheels. Each drive system includes a motor and an inverter coupled by wires. The wires of the drive systems are coupled by first bypass lines. Each inverter converts direct current power supplied from a corresponding power supply into alternating current power and supplies the alternating current power to the corresponding motor. Each motor drives the corresponding wheel. When an abnormality occurs in the supply of the alternating current power from the inverter to the motor in one drive system, the control apparatus performs control (i) to stop the supply of the alternating current power from the inverter of the one drive systems, and (ii) to supply the alternating current power supplied from the inverter to the motor in another drive system, to the motor of the one drive system via the first bypass lines.

In order to provide solutions for soiling problems and corrosion problems in the area between a pole ring (41) and the hub interior, arranged behind it, of a wheel hub assembly having a wheel hub (1) which ends inside the vehicle in a hub section (50) whose internal circumference (15) defines an opening (55) for the central passage of the stub axle (6) and on which a fastening device (42) of a pole ring (41) of an ABS sensor is mounted, wherein a pulse generator section (43) which is embodied in one piece with the fastening section (42) is a component of the pole ring (41), which pulse generator section (43) extends from the fastening section (42) to the wheel hub axis (A) and is provided with openings (44, 44L) distributed uniformly in the circumferential direction; in a first embodiment the pole ring (41) extends with its pulse generator section (43) towards the wheel hub axis (A) to such an extent that the opening (55) between the wheel hub (1) and stub axle (6) is for the most part covered towards the interior of the hub. In a second embodiment, at least some of the openings or slots have an extent (RL) towards the outside which is greater than the extent (R) which is necessary for sensing. Furthermore, it is proposed with respect to the pole ring (41) that some of the openings (44L) or slots have an extent (RL) towards the outside which is greater than the extent (R) of other openings (44) or slots.
