The present invention relates to a device (10) for obtaining a sample (30) from a biological material (40) in solid form, said device comprising an array of micro-needles (30) arranged on a base plate (20). It further relates to a method for obtaining a sample (50) from a biological material (40) in solid form, comprising pressing the micro-needles (30) of the device (10) into said biological material (40), and subsequently removing the device from the biological material (40), and to the use of the device (10) in such a method.

A method for producing prick test single use sterile vials for use in a prick test is provided. The method comprises providing at least one allergen source including therewithin allergen extract, providing a plurality of single dose vials, connecting a tube to the at least one allergen source, connecting a metering device to the tube, drawing by the tube an amount of the allergen extract from one of the at least one allergen source, receiving the amount of allergen extract at the metering device, and dispensing by the metering device a volume of allergen extract into one of the plurality of single dose vials.

A method for administering tests using a regional antigen testing kit is provided. The method comprises providing the regional antigen testing kit, extracting a predetermined amount of concentrated antigen from one of a plurality of concentrated antigens, dispensing the predetermined amount of concentrated antigen into a corresponding one of a plurality of wells, as indicated by visual indicia, repeating the extracting and dispensing steps until a desired number of the plurality of wells contain concentrated antigen, providing a prick tester having a plurality of needles extending thereon, aligning the plurality of needles of the prick tester with the plurality of wells, inserting each of the plurality of needles of the prick tester into one of the plurality of wells, and applying the plurality of needles of the prick tester to the skin of a patient to elicit a potential response.

An allergy test device for applying a liquid medium onto or into the skin, having a film with a flat part for placing on the skin and with at least one part which is spaced apart from the skin during use and has a container for receiving the liquid medium, wherein each container of each spaced-apart part has at least one closable opening. Each spaced-apart part is designed to be deformable in the direction of the flat part of the film, and a valve is arranged movably in the at least one opening of each container, wherein the opening of the container is sealed off in a closure position of the valve, and, upon deformation of the spaced-apart part, the valve is at least partially opened in a position deviating from the closure position.

An automated allergy office system and method provides a medical professional with a new allergy treatment plan to administer to a patient. The automated allergy office system comprises a viewing device to select a test site on the patient's skin that is clear. A multiple test applicator is in cooperative engagement with a fluid tray and delivers a small amount of a first allergen to a first test site on the patient's skin as a small amount of a second allergen is delivered to a second test site on the patient's skin. The allergy condition of the patient is detected as a wheal forms at the first test site after fifteen minutes. The elements of the treatment plan are retrieved from a database for treating the patient's allergy condition. The patient's electronic medical record is checked to confirm that the allergy treatment is new for this patient.

An apparatus including a wearable holder and a test material unit and a method for assessing skin reactivity to a test material are disclosed. The wearable holder is configured to hold the test material against the wearer's skin over a period of time to allow for an assessment of skin reactivity to the test material. The apparatus is provided to meet the needs of different patient populations.

A blister strip which can be stuck onto the skin, is formed from at least two sheets and has an applicator for applying a medium contained in the blister to the skin, wherein the blister strip includes an upper sheet, with at least one protuberance, wherein the underside of the upper sheet, the underside enclosing the protuberance, is of adhesive configuration.
