Adjustable saddle
An adjustable saddle may include a mounting frame with a plurality of tracks configured to receive a plurality of fasteners configured to couple a first saddle half base and a second saddle half base to the mounting frame. The plurality of tracks may extend along a rectilinear path, and/or an arcuate path, to allow pivotal attachment of the first and second saddle half bases at a plurality of different pivot points. In some embodiments, the first and second saddle half bases may also include a plurality of mounting tabs and an intermediate open space formed between the first and second saddle half bases, when the adjustable saddle is fully assembled, in order to allow easy access to the plurality of fasteners.
Bicycle
The invention relates to a bicycle, with a bicycle seat assembly rotatably connected to the bicycle. Rotation movement of the bicycle seat assembly is possible, seen in the driving direction, to the left and to the right side and is independent of the steering movement of the bicycle. The axis of rotation of the bicycle seat assembly is arranged in front of the axis of the bottom bracket, seen in the driving direction, and the seating surface of the bicycle seat is arranged behind the axis of the bottom bracket, seen in the driving direction. The rotatable bicycle seat assembly enables an upright riding position by dodging the cyclist's leg pedaling downwards through a rotational movement. At the same time it supports the hip side of the other leg. The driver is supported by the bicycle seat even in the upright riding position.
BACKREST HAVING A HOLDER, SADDLE HAVING A BACKREST, AND DEVICE HAVING A SADDLE
The invention relates to a backrest for devices driven by means of pedals comprising a holder for fastening to the device and a contact surface for supporting a person operating the device, wherein the contact surface has a base body, on which at least one spherical segment-shaped contact surface, a roller segment-shaped contact surface arranged parallel to the pedals when in use, and/or a contact surface, which can be moved relative to the base body, is arranged.
The invention furthermore relates to a saddle comprising a backrest, in the case of which the backrest is arranged in an articulated manner relative to the saddle, preferably so as to lock in place, in order to form an essentially horizontal saddle extension.
Method and system for biomechanical analysis of the posture of a cyclist and automatic customized manufacture of bicycle parts
A system for biomechanical analysis of user posture and automatic customized manufacture of bicycle parts includes a servo-assisted simulator having a handlebar, a saddle, pedal cranks, and actuators, a device detecting input data that includes a 3D scanner for automatically detecting the position of body segments of the user and the angular ranges therebetween and generating three-dimensional physical data units, an electronic platform detecting pressure data of the user, a pair of insoles detecting plantar pressure, a computer connected to the actuators and to the detection device, a memory unit storing optimized initial data and instantaneous data, software comparing the optimized initial data and the instantaneous data and generating final data of the characteristics of the main parts, a spatial representation device spatially representing the final data, and a device for immediate manufacture of the parts using 3D printers. A method of biomechanical analysis and custom manufacture of bicycle parts.
BICYCLE SADDLE WITH MULTI-DENSITY ZONES
A bicycle saddle comprising a base, a rear portion positioned on the base, and a front portion positioned on the base. The rear portion supports the sit bones of the rider and includes a first resilient material having a first hardness (e.g., 45-55 Shore C), and the front portion supports the genitalia of the rider and includes a second resilient material having a second hardness (e.g., 35-45 Shore C) less than the first hardness. The front portion includes side portions having a first thickness above a highest part of the side sections, and the side portions are separated by a central portion having a second thickness less than the first thickness. Preferably, a lower surface of the central portion is substantially unsupported to form a trampoline-like structure. The upper surface of the central portion can include memory foam and is substantially flush with upper surfaces of the side portions.
Support element for the human body, such as a saddle
Support element for the human body or saddle for a vehicle, a bicycle or a motorcycle including a support structure, in which the support element includes at least one fabric component constrained at respective ends or edges to the support structure.
Adjustable Backrest/Headrest System
This adjustment mechanism/assembly for a backrest/headrest includes a series of parts connected by a threaded rod with a knob on each end. The parts are arranged such that they sandwich two support members so that when the knobs are loosened the unit can easily slide up and down, changing the elevation of the backrest/headrest pad unit with respect to a seat bottom or seat back. Further, when the knobs are loose the upper member and its attached pad can be pivoted fore and aft and slide back and forth. Tightening the two knobs locks the entire unit in place.
SPLIT SADDLE BICYCLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A split saddle bicycle seat assembly for reducing friction and fatigue in a rider's hip joint while riding a bicycle includes a post that is insertable into a bicycle seat sleeve on a bicycle. A pair of arms is each of the arms is slidably coupled to the plate and each of the arms extends laterally away from the post in opposite directions from each other. A pair of saddles is each pivotally coupled to a respective one of the arms. Thus, each of the saddles can support a respective one of the rider's hip joins when the rider mounts the bicycle. Each of the saddles is pivotal downwardly on the respective arm when the respective rider's hip joint rotates as a consequence of a downward stroke on pedals of the bicycle. In this way each of the saddles reduces friction and fatigue in the rider's hip joints when the bicycle is pedaled.
MOLDABLE BICYCLE SADDLES, FITTING PROCEDURES, AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
A bicycle saddle can be customized to a rider's body to achieve desired support and comfort. The bicycle saddle includes an inner support shell and a moldable panel. The moldable panel is configured to be molded to the subject's anatomy. The support shell is configured to support a rider's body and can include at least one internal thermal element operable to heat the bicycle saddle such that the panel is molded to the rider's anatomy while the rider is sitting on the bicycle saddle.
