Dermatological systems and methods with handpiece for coaxial pulse delivery and temperature sensing
Dermatological systems and methods for providing a therapeutic laser treatment using a handpiece delivering one or more therapeutic laser pulses to a target skin area along a first optical path, and sensing the temperature of the target skin area based on infrared energy radiating from the target skin area along a second optical path generally counterdirectional to the first optical path, and sharing a common optical axis with the first optical path for at least a portion of the first and second optical paths. The handpiece may also provide contact cooling for a first skin area comprising the target skin area.
Electrosurgical device
Presented are an apparatus, method and electrosurgical device for surgical procedures. An exemplary apparatus includes a body comprising a longitudinal axis and an electrical wire maintained within the body extending along the longitudinal axis, and an electrode extending from a distal end of the body operably coupled to the electrical wire, the electrode with the electrical wire operable to conduct a flow of current at a plurality of levels. The apparatus further includes a first button arranged on an external surface of the body, the first button operable for selecting the flow of current at each one of the plurality of levels through the electrical wire and the electrode, and a second button arranged on the external surface of the body adjacent the first button, the second button operable activate and deactivate the flow of current to the electrode.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING SUBCUTANEOUS SURGERY
Devices and methods for performing subcutaneous surgery in a minimally invasive manner are provided. The methods include application of reduced air pressure in a recessed area of a handpiece placed over a section of skin and drawing the section of skin and subcutaneous tissue into the recessed area. In a subsequent step a tool is inserted through a tool conduit in the handpiece and through the skin into the subcutaneous tissue, enabling the performance of the desired surgery. Common surgical procedures include dissection and ablation. The devices and methods can be directed at the treatment of skin conditions like atrophic scars, wrinkles, or other cosmetic issues, at treatments like or promoting wound healing or preventing hyperhidrosis, or can be used for creating space for various implants.
Smart torquer and methods of using the same
Smart torquers are provided. Aspects of the smart torquers include: an engager for releasably engaging an elongated intravascular device; a communications module; a contact associated with the engager and configured to communicatively contact an elongated intravascular device engaged by the engager with the communications module; and a manipulator configured to allow a user to torque an elongated intravascular device engaged by the engager. Aspects of the invention further include methods of using the smart torquers, as well as systems and kits employed in such methods.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR AESTHETIC TREATMENT OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURES BY RADIOFREQUENCY AND MAGNETIC ENERGY
A device for providing a magnetic treatment by evoking muscle contraction by a time-varying magnetic field and providing a RF treatment by heating biological structure. The device may provide a pressure treatment. The device includes an applicator having an RF electrode and a magnetic field generating device. The device may also include a main unit, a human machine interface, and a control unit. The control unit adjusts a signal provided to the RF electrode and creates an RF circuit, and also adjusts the signal provided to the magnetic field generating device and creates a magnetic circuit electrically insulated from the RF circuit. The RF circuit may include a power source and a power amplifier, and the magnetic circuit may include an energy storage to supply the magnetic field generating device with electric current.

Aspects of the invention further include methods of using the smart torquers, as well as systems and kits employed in such methods.
Device for inducing cell death
The present disclosure provides a medical device (100) for inducing cell death in cancer cells. The device comprises a signal generator (102) arranged to generate a pulsed electrical signal, and a transmitter (116) arranged to receive the pulsed electrical signal and generate, in response to the electrical signal, an electric field in a treatment volume. The device (100) is arranged such that the pulsed electrical signal received by the transmitter (116) has a pulse width of 0.1 microsecond to 1 millisecond, and a signal frequency of 10 Megahertz to 20 Gigahertz. The present disclosure also provides a method of inducing cell death. The method comprising a step of generating, using a transmitter (116), a pulsed time varying electric field in a treatment volume comprising a volume of cells to be treated. The electric field has a pulse width of 0.1 microsecond to 1 millisecond, and a signal frequency of 10 Megahertz to 20 Gigahertz.
Skin lesion treatment device
A device for treating a skin lesion including a container, an applicator tube and an applicator tip, wherein the applicator tube is attached to the container and applicator tip to allow the passage of a skin lesion treatment agent from the container to the applicator tip.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING CELLULITE
A method for treating cellulite on a patient's skin includes identifying at least one region of said patient's skin with cellulite. The method includes generating at least one scar tissue in at least one tissue portion in said region of skin, thereby generating at least one septa-like scar tissue in said region of said patient's skin. The method further includes stabilizing said at least one septa-like scar tissue. Generating at least one septa-like scar tissue in said region of said patient's skin treats cellulite.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING THE SKIN
A method for treating a patient's skin is provided. The method includes identifying at least one region of said patient's skin in need of treatment. The method includes forming at least one interference of at least one tissue portion in said region of skin, thereby generating at least one scar-like fibrous tissue in said region of said patient's skin. Rotational Fractional Resection (RFR) is a procedure which may be used to achieve focal aesthetic contouring by removing fractions of lax skin and excess fat tissue from a patient. Skin may be removed by the use of a rotating micro-coring punch, which is a hollow, sharpened tube which excises full thickness dermal resections. Such punch has been adapted to treat, among other conditions, scars, acne scars, lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, melasma, and to improve skin texture and tighten the skin.
