LAMINATE

A laminate including a laminated structure of a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, a reinforcing agent layer, and an adherend. The laminate expresses all of a higher adhesive strength, higher impact resistance, and higher water resistance. The laminate shows an adhesive strength of 20 N/20 mm or more when the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is peeled from a laminated structural body where the adherend is a SUS plate, the laminate shows an adhesive strength of 20 N/20 mm or more when the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is peeled from a laminated structural body where the adherend is a polycarbonate plate, and the laminate shows an adhesive strength of 20 N/20 mm or more when the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet is peeled from a laminated structural body where the adherend is an aluminum plate at 23° C. and 50% RH, and at a tensile rate of 300 mm/min and a peel angle of 180.

Roof Cover Board Derived From Engineered Recycled Content

An improved cover board product with a panel comprised of three discrete layers: a top surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, a bottom surface layer comprised of either paper or a fiberglass web, and a core layer comprised of discrete paper fragments and polypropylene fragments, which are connected by use of a thermoplastic bonding resin, including polyethylene. The bonding resin is generally attached in a random pattern to less than 100% of the paper fragment and polypropylene fragment surface area. The paper fragments are generally shaped as irregular plates. The polypropylene fragments can have multiple shape types. The two different fragment types are randomly distributed in the core layer relative to each other. The core layer includes small voids in and around the particles, which improves flexibility. The core layer is attached to the top and bottom surface layers by use of a thermoplastic adhesive, including polyethylene.

A composite roofing membrane is disclosed having upper and lower surfaces. The composite roofing membrane contains, in order, a first membrane, a second membrane, and a nonwoven fleece. The first membrane has a first side and a second side, where the first side of the first membrane forms the upper surface of the composite roofing membrane, and where the first membrane comprises a thermoplastic polymer. The second membrane has a first side and a second side, where the first side of the second membrane is adjacent to and in direct and intimate contact with the second side of the first membrane, and where the second membrane comprises a thermoplastic polymer. There are no fibers or yarns between the first and second membranes. The nonwoven fleece contains a plurality of yarns, has a tensile strength of between 100 and 1000 lb.sub.f, and a tear strength of between 20 and 200 lb.sub.f.

METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR MANUFACTURING A FLOOR COVERING PRODUCT AND FLOOR COVERING PRODUCT OBTAINED HEREBY
20210154990 · 2021-05-27 ·

A method for manufacturing a floor covering product comprises at least a first step of forming a single- or multi-layered substrate by consolidating synthetic material-based starting material. The method comprises a second step after the first step, which is performed in line with the first step. The at least one continuous film is laminated onto the substrate, and the laminating is performed by means of a belt press.

Building board having high fastener sealability

A building board, particularly a gypsum board, can have a high fastener sealability if protected by the combination of thin layers of an extruded polymer film and a thermoplastic coating layer. The combination of extruded polymer film and thermoplastic coating layer is designed such that the gypsum board can also tolerate overdriven fasteners, thus exceeding the requirements of ASTM D1970-15.

POLYMER COMPOSITE BUILDING PRODUCT AND METHOD OF FABRICATION

A building product for application to the exterior of a building. The front face of the product utilizes a first fiber sheet partially embedded within a thermoset polymer coating resin. A foamed closed cell admixture composition core with an inorganic filler overlays the thermoset polymer coating resin with the embedded fiber sheet. The admixture composition infiltrates and bonds to the portion of the fiber sheet that is not embedded within the thermoset polymer coating resin mechanically bonding to the thermoset polymer coating. A second fiber sheet overlays the admixture core and the admixture and second fiber sheet form the rear surface of the building product that is mounted adjacent the building surface.
