A closed cross-section space is defined by the first and the second rear header panels. The vehicle body includes a reinforcing member that is disposed in the closed cross-section space. The first and the second rear header panels each include a first portion extending downward in the vehicle up-down direction and a second portion bending from a lower end of the first portion and extending rearward in the vehicle front-rear direction. The reinforcing member is disposed in a region in which the first portion of the first rear header panel and the first portion of the second rear header panel face each other. A space is provided between a lower face of the reinforcing member and the second portion of the first rear header panel.

Electric vehicle and vehicle body structure of electric vehicle

A vehicle body structure of an electric vehicle is provided, including a floor panel and a battery pack anti-collision structure. A battery pack and a motor are disposed below the floor panel, and the motor is located behind the battery pack. The battery pack anti-collision structure is disposed between the battery pack and the motor, and is configured to prevent the motor from crashing into the battery pack when a rear collision occurs to the electric vehicle.

HINGE BASED COUNTERBALANCE MECHANISM
20230313590 · 2023-10-05 ·

A hinge based counterbalance mechanism for operating a hinge of a closure panel of a vehicle to assist in opening and closing of the closure panel between a closed position and an open position about a pivot axis, the hinge drive mechanism including: a hinge having a body side portion for connecting to a body of the vehicle and a panel side portion for connecting to the closure panel, the body side portion and the panel side portion coupled via the pivot axis; a torsion element having a fixed end coupled to the body and a free end coupled to the body side portion, the fixed end inhibited from rotating relative to the free end and the free end able to rotate about a torsion axis of the torsion element; and a mechanical coupling mechanism coupling the free end to the panel side portion, the mechanical coupling mechanism providing for variability in torque output of the torsion element applied from the torsion element to the panel side portion as the hinge moves between the open position and the closed position.

DETACHABLE BACKUP HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY LOCATED IN FRONT TRUNK
20230312009 · 2023-10-05 ·

A vehicle includes a power source detachable from the vehicle. The power source is configured to supply power to the vehicle and a remote device. The vehicle includes a front trunk configured to store the power source. The front trunk or at least a portion of the front trunk may be advantageously removable from the vehicle along with the power source. A backup battery may be located in a vehicle's front trunk, where the front trunk and/or the backup battery may be detached from the vehicle itself. The power source may be removable from the front trunk. The power source may then be transported to and placed at a desired or a convenient location to power otherwise difficult to reach remote devices if the power source were to be fixed to the vehicle, such as users who camp off the grid and need power separate from running their vehicle.

VEHICLE BODY REAR STRUCTURE

A vehicle body rear section includes a rear floor pan (11), a floor pan reinforcement member (20), and a towing load receiving section. The rear floor pan (11) has an upper surface to which the spare tire (16) is fixed. The floor pan reinforcement member (20) is fixed to a lower surface of the rear floor pan (11). The towing load receiving section protrudes downward from a rear section of the rear floor pan (11). The floor pan reinforcement member (20) extends at least partially from a support position of the towing load receiving section toward a front side of a fixed position of the spare tire (16). An easy-deformable portion (22) with lower bending strength than that of front and rear regions is provided in front of the fixed position of the spare tire (16) in a reinforcement region of the rear floor pan (11).

COUPLING STRUCTURE OF REAR END MODULE AND TAILGATE STRIKER

Provided is a coupling structure of a rear end module and a tailgate striker. The coupling structure includes a rear end module formed by injection and coupled to a circumference of a rear opening of a vehicle; a rear end module reinforcing member fastened to an inner surface of the rear end module; a striker reinforcing member fastened to one side of a lower end of the rear opening and coupled to the rear end module reinforcing member; and a striker fastened to an upper portion of the striker reinforcing member.

VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE WITH A REINFORCED TRUNK HINGE MOUNTING PART

A vehicle body structure with a reinforced trunk hinge mounting part includes a side outer rear extension 11 extending from a side outer 16 to the rear of a vehicle; a quarter inner 12 located under the side outer rear extension 11 and forming a space where wheels of the vehicle are mounted; a trunk hinge 31 installed on a front end of a trunk lid 30 and fastened to an outer surface of the side outer rear extension 11; and a connection member 35 connecting the side outer rear extension 11 to the quarter inner 12.
