Moving-riser method and system for harvesting natural gas from seabed hydrates
10900331 · 2021-01-26 · ·

A method and equipment for harvesting natural gas from seabed hydrates are disclosed. The preferred equipment includes a mobile riser, a water injection nozzle, a gas collector, a gas separator, a gas compressor, a water pump, and a water boiler. A fraction of produced gas is used to heat water which is in turn injected to seafloor for dissociating gas hydrates. The preferred method of the invention comprises producing natural gas from seabed hydrates using a production ship with a moving riser installed. This method eliminates the need of drilling wells and thus cuts cost of gas production tremendously.

NOVEL FORMULATION OF MELOXICAM

The present invention relates to methods for producing particles of meloxicam using dry milling processes as well as compositions comprising meloxicam, medicaments produced using meloxicam in particulate form and/or compositions, and to methods of treatment of an animal, including man, using a therapeutically effective amount of meloxicam administered by way of said medicaments.

Offloading Hydrocarbons from Subsea Fields
20210002965 · 2021-01-07 ·

An offloading system for conveying hydrocarbons from a buoyancy-supported subsea riser to a surface tanker vessel comprises a flexible hose that hangs from the riser structure in a U-shape having first and second limbs. An upper end of the first limb communicates with the riser and an upper end of the second limb terminates in a pulling head for connecting the hose to the tanker. A clump weight acts on a lowermost bend of the hose between the limbs to maintain tension in the limbs. A subsurface holder fixed to the riser structure is arranged to hold the pulling head against the tension in the second limb of the hose when the system is in a standby state. The holder is offset laterally from a central longitudinal axis of the riser structure and a counterweight is positioned to a side of that axis opposed to the holder.

FLARE SPILL PROTECTION

An offshore spill protection system includes a flare boom configured to connect to an offshore drilling rig. The flare boom is configured to flare at least a portion of hydrocarbons flowed from the offshore drilling rig to the flare boom. A liquid hydrocarbon capture system includes a plate configured to be spatially positioned relative to the flare boom. The plate is sized to collect at least unflared hydrocarbons in a liquid state that flow through the flare boom.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RELIQUEFACTION OF PREVIOUSLY REGASIFIED LNG
20200386473 · 2020-12-10 ·

An apparatus, system and method for reliquefaction of previously regasified LNG are described. A natural gas reliquefaction method includes regasifying LNG onboard a FSRU to form high pressure regasified LNG (HP RLNG), delivering the HP RLNG to a natural gas pipeline that commingles with a natural gas grid, flowing the HP RLNG through a lateral, wherein the lateral diverts HP RLNG from the natural gas pipeline to an expander prior to commingling with the natural gas grid, expanding the natural gas with the expander to obtain low pressure regasified LNG (LP RLNG), liquefying the LP RLNG in a cold box of a nitrogen expansion loop to produce low pressure LNG, and transmitting the LNG to a cryogenic cargo tank onboard an LNG tanker truck.

SYSTEMS FOR HANDLING ONE OR MORE ELONGATED MEMBERS AND METHODS FOR USING SAME

Elongated member handling systems and methods for using same. The system can include one or more elongated members. A connector can be formed on or mechanically linked to a first end of each of the one or more elongated members. An optional cover can be coupled to the connector. The system can also include a pulling assembly at least partially disposed about the one or more elongated members and adjacent the first end of each of the one or more elongated members. The pulling assembly can include a support skid. The pulling assembly or, if present, the optional cover can include a primary pulling anchor. The system can also include a jumper winch configured to be mechanically linked to the primary pulling anchor. The jumper winch, when mechanically linked to the primary pulling anchor, can be configured to pull the pulling assembly from a first structure to a second structure.
