Container with fold-out opening, resulting from the suitable bending and folding of a laminar body that has bending lines that define four rectangular walls, which have a common upper flap and another, common lower flap with bending lines; the upper flap has two folding lines that continue two transverse bending lines defining a wall that is in a central position; said folding lines defining three rectangular portions of the upper flap; the central portion having the same axis of symmetry as the central wall; each of the portions is provided with additions opposite the contact thereof with the walls; the addition having a tear line that divides the addition into two dividing parts; the portion having a slot and the addition having a tab in the dividing part thereof and which can be engaged and inserted into the slot.

FULL APERTURE BEVERAGE END

A full aperture beverage end has a center panel, a countersink surrounding the centre panel, a main score arranged in proximity to the countersink to define a removable aperture panel and a vent score. The beverage end is adapted for use with products that are pressurized to over 30 psi (200 kPa) when opened, and during opening the vent score is adapted to sever first, controlling the pressure differential between the external surface and internal surface of the centre panel, thereby allowing the main score to tear in a controlled and reliable manner.

End closure with a ring pull actuated secondary vent
09694935 · 2017-07-04 · ·

The present invention relates to a container end closure that generally comprises a pour opening and a secondary vent opening which improves venting during emptying of contents from the container. In particular, the present invention relates to an end closure for a container having scores defining a secondary vent opening which may optionally be opened. The secondary vent opening has a significantly larger area then vents of prior art designs and thereby improves pour rate and smoothness of pour. After the pour opening is opened using a pull tab interconnected to the end closure, a consumer may selectively open the secondary vent opening by pulling back on the tab.

Welding consumable container with protective open rim

A container having a wall, where the wall includes a score line that defines a removable lid, where the score line defines the perimeter of the lid. The container lid includes a protective component extending inwardly of the perimeter of the lid and covering a sharp edge of a burr formed by removing the lid from the wall.

Tamper evident plastic food container

A tamper evident container comprises a lid and a base. The lid includes a lid rim having a lid rim flange. The base includes a base rim having a base rim flange. A frangible hinge is formed between a top pinch segment peripherally projecting from the lid rim flange and a bottom pinch segment peripherally projecting from the base rim flange. The frangible hinge is configured to rupture when the container is in the initially sealed arrangement by the application of a pinching force to the top pinch segment and bottom pinch segment that results in the relative vertical movement of the segments toward each other. As compared to the prior art, the container hinges about a frangible vertex instead of hinging about a square-shaped structure.

METAL COVER FOR A CONTAINER BODY

Disclosed is a metal cover for a container body, in particular for a container such as a metal can, the cover including a removable portion (4) which is defined by a scoreline (5) and which is provided with an opening member (6). The scoreline (5) includes two upstream portions (55) and one downstream portion (56), provided on either side of a virtual axis (10). Each upstream portion (55) of the scoreline (5) includes a second section (522) including a residual thickness (E2) greater than a residual thickness (E1) of a first section (551); and the second section (552) extends over at least 20% of the length (L) of the upstream portion (55), a downstream end (5522) being provided within the upstream portion (55).

Lid for containers of substances, and container of substances comprising said lid
12263989 · 2025-04-01 · ·

A lid for a metal container able to contain a substance, includes a closing cap defined by at least one incision or pre-cut line, able to allow the closing cap to be lifted and at least partly torn; an opening lever disposed astride the incision line and comprising a front fulcrum end and an intermediate region provided with a flexible tongue attached to the closing cap; a mechanical connection located in proximity to the incision line, configured to mechanically attach the flexible tongue to the closing cap and configured to cooperate with said flexible tongue; the incision line having at the front, in the zone where the closing cap starts to be lifted and torn, a portion protruding outward, toward the front fulcrum end of the opening lever; and the protruding portion having, on both sides, segments of the incision line which move away from said mechanical connection element as far as respective deformation zones, caused by compression of the incision line.

End closure with double anti-missile score
09580203 · 2017-02-28 · ·

An end closure for food and beverage containers provides controlled opening characteristics to prevent the unintentional missiling of a tear panel. The end closure comprises a score line that defines a portion of the tear panel, and the end closure may comprise one or more anti-missile features that inhibit the propagation of a fracture down a score line, which reduces the likelihood that a tear panel will inadvertently detach from the end closure and injure the user or another.

BEVERAGE CAN END FRANGIBLE SCORE GEOMETRY

An ecology stay-on tab beverage can end has a first axis extending though a rivet. A tear panel is defined by a frangible score and a non-frangible hinge that joins a first end of the frangible score with a second end of the frangible score. The first axis forms a line of asymmetry of the tear panel. A second axis intersects the first axis at a right angle. An intersection of the first axis with the second axis defines a center point of a clock-like reference having a 12 o'clock position at the first point and a 6 o'clock position at the second point. A first radius of curvature of the frangible score between a 5 o'clock position and a 7 o'clock position is at least 3.6 times larger than a second radius of curvature between a 7 o'clock position and a 9 o'clock position.
