Disclosed are systems, apparatus and methods for transporting a palletized stack of bottles or other similar bulk-produced containers using a unique pallet base and a unique set of side panels that may be engaged with the base and with each other in order to protect the stacks of bottles on the pallet base during shipping and transport. Embodiments of the invention dampen vibrations, protect the bottles from exterior contaminants, and allow the bottles to be viewed from the outside. Embodiments of the invention also provide reusable pallet systems that are easy to assemble and disassemble, and ship back for reuse.

Disclosed is an assembly for automatically securing at least one mail item on a transport tray, the assembly including the mail item and the transport tray, on which the mail item can be placed, and a fixing arrangement designed to secure the mail item on the transport tray, wherein the assembly for lowering and raising the transport tray in a height-adjusting manner is designed in such a way that, by lowering the transport tray into a loading position, the distance between the fixing arrangement and the transport tray is increased in such a way that, in the loading position, the mail item can be placed on the transport tray between said transport tray and the fixing arrangement, and is designed in such a way that, by raising the transport tray from the loading position, the distance between the fixing arrangement and the transport tray is reduced in such a way that the fixing arrangement comes to rest on the mail item in order to secure the mail item against falling off from the transport tray. Due to the proposed assembly, it is ensured that, during transport, for example over a distance of several hundred meters, the mail item cannot fall off from the transport tray and thus be lost.

A transportable container for flowable bulk goods includes a bottom support and a stretch wrap spirally wrapped around the bottom support and extending vertically in relationship to the bottom support. Bulk goods are disposed within the stretch wrap and at least of portion of the bulk goods are disposed in direct contact with the stretch wrap to squeeze the bulk goods together and generate hoop forces for stabilizing the bulk goods in the transportable container. The transportable container has a shape that varies radially in vertical relationship to the bottom support for adjusting the hoop forces vertically along the transportable container. The varied shape of the transportable container can be, for example, tapered, hour-glass shaped, or pumpkin shaped.

This transportation unit provides an easy transportation and an easy to handle system wherein the respective load of coils which can be shipped can be increased. The transportation unit comprises a palette, and a plurality of bags stacked in layers on the palette, wherein each of the bags contains a plurality of coils arranged in a first layer such that centers of the coils in the first layer are arranged parallel with respect to each other such that an axial direction of the center of each coil in the first layer is approximately perpendicular to an extension direction of the palette. Further the disclosure relates to an assembly comprising a plurality of transport units.
