Systems and methods for using reduced hops to generate an augmented virtual reality scene within a head mounted system

Systems and methods for using reduced hops to generate an augmented virtual reality scene in a head mounted display. The head mounted display is used for game play via a game cloud system. The head mounted display includes a communications circuit for sending real-world media associated with a game program via a network. The real-world media is processed by the game cloud system and streamed directly from the communications circuit to the game cloud system. The head mounted display further includes a game processing circuit coupled to the communications circuit. The game processing circuit is used for decoding computer-generated interactive media received from the game cloud system via the network. The game processing circuit drives a portion of interactivity associated with the game program by superimposing the computer-generated interactive media on the real-world media. The computer-generated interactive media is generated based on the real-world media.

The invention relates to an interactive display system (1) configured to produce an immersion of a user (3) in a virtual visual environment comprising several devices (2) for broadcasting at least one graphic representation that are capable or partially or entirely covering a visual field of the user (3), each broadcasting device (2) being provided with an element (4) for displaying said at least one graphic representation and an interactive interface (5) comprising a zone (6) for receiving at least one impact which is defined over all or part of an outer face (7a) of the display element (4), said interactive interface (5) comprising a device (8) for emitting infrared radiation and a device (9) for capturing at least one image of an outer face (7a) of said display element (4).

Augmented reality spaces with adaptive rules

A system for generating a virtual gaming environment based on features identified within a real-world environment, and adapting the virtual gaming environment over time as the features identified within the real-world environment change is described. Utilizing the technology described, a person wearing a head-mounted display device (HMD) may walk around a real-world environment and play a virtual game that is adapted to that real-world environment. For example, the HMD may identify environmental features within a real-world environment such as five grassy areas and two cars, and then spawn virtual monsters based on the location and type of the environmental features identified. The location and type of the environmental features identified may vary depending on the particular real-world environment in which the HMD exists and therefore each virtual game may look different depending on the particular real-world environment.

BOARD GAME WITH DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTIC TRACKING

A board game comprises one or more game objects such as a game board and game pieces, at least one memory device and at least one controller. Each of the game objects comprise a globally unique identifier and dynamic characteristic values associated with the unique identifier, stored in the memory device, that define the characteristics/attributes of the corresponding game object when used in the game. A user is able to play the game by utilizing the game objects according to their characteristic values. During the course of game play, the events of the game are able to dynamically change the characteristic values of each game object affected by the event. Similarly, outside of game play, external events are also able to dynamically change the characteristic values of a game object. These characteristic values are able to be kept and updated during and in between games.

An image providing apparatus, a display unit; a controller configured to receive a first image and a second image different from the first image. In addition, the first and second images are different from pair of stereoscopic images, to display the received first and second images on the same display region of the display unit; a first glasses configured to pass only the displayed first image; and a second glasses configured to pass only the displayed second image. Furthermore, the first glasses is different from the second glasses.

Method and apparatus for displaying virtual environment picture, device, and storage medium

This application discloses a method for updating a virtual environment picture performed by a computer device. The method includes: displaying a first virtual environment picture of a virtual environment using a first observation position as an observation center, wherein a virtual character is located at a first position in the first virtual environment picture; in response to receiving a first directional operation on the virtual character, displaying a skill indicator in accordance with the first directional operation; and when at least a portion of the skill indicator is going to exceed the first virtual environment picture, replacing the first virtual environment picture with displaying a second virtual environment picture, wherein the virtual character is relocated from the first position in the first virtual environment picture to a second position in the second virtual environment picture so as to present the skill indicator in the second virtual environment picture.
