Injection molding system, injection molding machine, and peripheral device
An injection molding system capable of easily calculating relative position information between a movable part of an injection molding machine and a movable part of a peripheral device is provided. A first control unit 110 of an injection molding machine 2 calculates first relative position information which is relative position information of a first movement position M1 set to a movable part 50 in relation to a first reference position K1 set to a first connection portion 80. A second control unit 210 of a robot 3 calculates second relative position information which is relative position information of a second movement position M2 set to a hand 65 in relation to a second reference position K2 set to a second connection portion 85. The first control unit 110 and the second control unit 210 calculate inter-drive-unit relative position information which is relative position information between the first movement position M1 and the second movement position M2 on the basis of the first relative position information and the second relative position information.
In-Mold Non-Time Dependent Determination of Injection Molded Part Ejection Readiness
Non-time dependent measured variables are used to effectively determine an optimal ejection time of a part from a mold cavity. A system and/or approach may first measure at least one non-time dependent variable during an injection molding cycle. The part is ready to be ejected from the mold upon the measured variable reaching a threshold value indicative of, for example, a part temperature dropping below an activation temperature.
INJECTION MOLDING OF CROSSLINKING POLYMERS USING STRAIN DATA
Non-time dependent calculated variables based on measured strain are used to effectively determine an optimal hold profile for an expanding crosslinking polymer part in a mold cavity. A system and/or approach may first inject molten expanding crosslinking polymer into a mold cavity, then measure strain at the mold cavity or at another location within the injection molding system, and then calculate at least one non-time dependent variable during an injection molding cycle. Next, the system and/or method commences a hold profile for the part, and upon completing the hold profile, the part is ejected from the mold cavity, whereupon a cure profile is commenced.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL GEOMETRY OF ATTACHMENT
The three-dimensional geometry of an attachment is measured before work is started. A maximum dimension of a take-out head 60 in the X direction, a maximum dimension of the take-out head 60 in the Y direction, and a maximum dimension of the take-out head 60 in the Z direction are measured on the basis of an image of the take-out head 60 captured by at least imaging devices C11 and C12 before the take-out head 60 starts work with the take-out head 60 being mounted to an elevating frame 59B of an apparatus 5 for taking out a molded product, as an orthogonal three-axis robot.

Systems and methods for operating an injection molding machine
A method of operating an injection molding machine includes translating a movable platen from a closed position to a part transfer position by overshooting the transfer position in an opening direction away from a stationary platen to an over-travel position, and then translating the moving platen back to the transfer position in a closing direction, opposite the opening direction. Movement of a take-out device towards an advanced position, in which the take-out device reaches between mold halves carried by the stationary and movable platens, occurs while the movable platen is moving between the over-travel and transfer positions, prior to coming to rest in the transfer position. When resting in the transfer position, the method includes transferring molded articles from a first mold section mounted to the movable platen to retained engagement on the take-out device reaching between the platens.

Ejection-material ejection apparatus and imprinting apparatus
The internal space of a storing container is separated by a flexible membrane into a first storing space storing an ejection material and a second storing space storing an operating liquid. A change in electrical property of the flexible membrane resulting from entry of at least one of the ejection material and the operating liquid to the inside of the flexible membrane is detected.
Teaching method for system for taking out molded product and apparatus for taking out molded product
An image display device displays an image such that a pair of reference symmetric structure portions, e.g. a pair of guide pins, are included in a captured image displayed on a display section, the pair of reference symmetric structure portions being located symmetrically with respect to a second virtual plane which extends in the opening direction and the vertical direction and includes a virtual center line of the molding apparatus which extends in the opening direction. A teaching execution section is used to determine the lateral position of an approach frame in the take-out operation by changing the position of the approach frame such that the center of an imaging range is located at a middle position between the pair of reference symmetric structure portions included in the captured image.
