The invention relates to a tank for receiving fuel, said tank comprising a venting system comprising a flap for closing an opening made in the tank, said flap being subjected to a float and mounted in a hinged manner in the tank so as to adopt a closed position, pushed by the float when the level of fuel in the tank reaches a certain threshold, and an open, venting position, driven by the float when the level of fuel is below said threshold. According to the invention, the flap comprises a valve controlled by means that can open the valve when the flap is in a closed position and the level of fuel is below said threshold.

VALVE ASSEMBLY

The present disclosure relates to a valve assembly adapted to be located at least partially in a body of fluid for controlling fluid flow from the body of fluid to a fluid outlet port. The valve assembly has an extension in a first direction and includes a fluid inlet port having an extension at least partially in the first direction. The valve assembly further includes a valve member being movable in the first direction relative to the fluid inlet port between an open position, in which the fluid inlet port is adapted to provide a fluid communication between the body of fluid and the fluid outlet port, and a closed position, in which the valve member covers the fluid inlet port such that fluid communication between the body of fluid and the fluid outlet port via the fluid inlet port is prevented.

A valve device forming a ventilation flow channel of a fuel tank includes a float valve; an inside case including a valve opening relative to the float valve at an upper portion, and housing the float valve; an outside case receiving the inside case from an upper open end, and provided with a bottom portion; and an attachment portion relative to a tank side. A flow channel which becomes one portion of the ventilation flow channel is formed between a side portion of the inside case and a side portion of the outside case, and a through hole is provided in the side portion of the inside case. Furthermore, an engagement claw relative to the outside case is provided directly above the through hole.

Fuel limit vent valve having vapor permeable membrane

A fill limit vent valve configured for use with a reductant tank includes a valve body, a float and a vapor permeable membrane. The valve body can define an inner chamber and has a valve outlet. The float has a float body configured to be received within the inner chamber and configured to sealingly engage the valve body. The vapor permeable membrane can be configured to permit vapor to pass through while inhibiting liquid from passing through. The float is movable between (i) an open position wherein vapor flows along a first flow path through the valve inner chamber and out of the valve body; and (ii) a closed position wherein the float sealingly engages the valve body and precludes vapor from flowing along the first flow path while allowing flow along a second flow path through the vapor permeable membrane and out of the valve body.

FULLY-INTEGRATED, TOP-FILL, PRESSURELESS FLOW-CONTROL MODULE COUPLABLE TO A PULSATING PRESSURIZED FUEL SOURCE
20190113150 · 2019-04-18 ·

A fully-integrated, flow-control module for top-fill fuel tanks operates with a fuel line attached that supplies fuel under pulsating pressure. There are two bleed paths in the module, which open and close sequentially in response to the position of a fuel float within the module. In order for a main valve plunger, which controls fuel entry into the tank, to fully close, both bleed paths must be closed. A first bleed path closes first, followed by closure of the second. For the main valve plunger to fully open, both bleed paths must be open. The second bleed path opens first. Movement of the main valve plunger is controlled by both a biasing spring and pressure beneath the plunger. Pressure beneath the plunger builds up to a level sufficient for the biasing spring to fully close the plunger against a valve seat when both bleed paths are closed.
