Streamlined flat windscreen wiper (1), in particular of a vehicle, characterized in that it comprises: a longitudinal wiper blade (8), at least one longitudinal stiffening spine (6), a longitudinal member (7) for holding said wiper blade and said stiffening spine, a longitudinal fairing (2, 3) comprising two end caps (3) and a central mount (2) extending between the end caps and being linked thereto, the mount comprising means for fixing to said stiffening spine or to said member for holding this spine.

The adapter can be a one-piece body or a multi-piece body having a cavity and openings for receiving distal ends or distal end features of each of the plurality of different wiper arms. The adapter can also include different tabs for engaging with openings, notches or other components on distal ends of each of the plurality of different wiper arms.

A connector assembly and wiper blade incorporating same having a base connector, having two longitudinal side walls, a first and second end, and a top surface extending therebetween, wherein the top surface has a pair of cantilevered beams, each provided with a locking tab, extending from a central portion towards each respective end of the base connector. The locking tabs are capable of engaging and securing an aperture in cap or wiper arm. The base connector further has a central recessed portion capable of receiving and securing a top wall of a side adapter. The base connector may further include a base support structure capable of securing the base connector to a wiper blade.

A wiper blade assembly comprises a blade having upper and lower major surfaces, a wiper element extending from the lower major surface of the blade, a connector mounted on the upper major surface of the blade, and spoilers extending from opposite sides of the connector. The spoilers and the connector ore configured to positively engage each other. The spoiler includes a slice which will form a tear in the spoiler should the spoiler be moved axially relative to the connector to at least discourage reattachment of the spoiler should the spoiler be removed. A connecting apparatus for a wiper for interconnecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm includes: a main body portion having one surface on which the wiper arm is seated; and a cap portion rotatably provided on one side of the main body portion and configured to cover the wiper arm seated on the main body portion according to a rotation angle. The main body portion includes a groove configured to engage a rotation center of the cap portion, and a locking portion configured to be able to interfere with positional movement of the cap portion.
