LIFT AND METHOD FOR LIFTING EQUIPMENT MODULES
A lift and method for lifting equipment modules, and for providing for sideways loading equipment modules, or cargo containers, onto a mounting surface of a sea vessel, such as a ship or submarine. The lift comprises a frame for supporting the equipment modules or cargo containers, and includes a number of conveying beams for conveying the equipment module or cargo container in a sideways direction in relation to the frame, and means for lifting said conveying beams in a vertical direction. The method includes, providing a lift according to the invention; arranging an equipment module or cargo container onto the lift; maneuvering the lift on a ground surface into a position substantial parallel with the hull of said sea vessel; raising the equipment module or cargo container by the lift in a vertical direction to a specific vertical position in relation to a mission bay in said hull; conveying the equipment module or cargo container sideways into the mission bay, by said conveying beams; connecting the equipment module or cargo container to a number of anchoring points within the mission bay and retracting the conveying beams out of the mission bay.

A side lift spreader (20) for lifting an upper intermodal transport container (10) and a lower intermodal transport container (10) stacked on each other comprises a container locking arrangement (30) arranged at a first longitudinal end of the spreader, the container locking arrangement (30) comprising an upper male lock insert configured to be connected to a bottom corner casting of the upper container (10) and a lower male lock insert configured to be connected to a top corner casting of the lower container (10), wherein said container locking arrangement (30) comprises an indicator configured to provide an indication if an attempt is made to connect the lower male lock insert to the bottom corner casting of the upper container (10).
Raising/lowering conveyance device for container for conveying article
A raising/lowering conveyance device for a container for conveying an article includes a container gripping mechanism having multiple container support pins which are arranged so as to be capable of freely protruding and retracting. A spring for biasing the container gripping mechanism upward is interposed between the container gripping mechanism and a columnar support member for supporting the container gripping mechanism such that the container gripping mechanism can be freely raised and lowered. As a result of the upward biasing force of the spring, the container gripping mechanism is held at an equilibrium height in equilibrium with the weight thereof and is capable of movement vertically with the equilibrium height serving as the center of the movement. When the container gripping mechanism lifts a container, the mechanism receives the weight of the container, descends from the equilibrium height, and is supported at the fixed height of the columnar support member.
Grinding mill with securing frame
A grinding mill for pulverizing material includes a platform having an upper surface and defining a recess having a floor, the recess configured to seat a dish in which the material is disposed, and a movable securing frame that is movably connected with the platform, the frame including a lift support having an upper surface that is movable along a path from a first location that is beneath the floor of the recess, through the recess, to a second location that is coplanar with the upper surface of the platform. A motor configured to cause oscillation of the platform and the movable securing frame can be used. A method of using the grinding mill can include placing a dish above a recess defined by an upper surface of a platform, and lowering the frame with respect to the platform, thereby seating the dish within the recess.
Raising/lowering conveyance device for container for conveying article
A raising/lowering conveyance device for a container for conveying an article has container supports that can move toward or away from a container in the horizontal direction and up and down with respect to the container. The container supports have a plurality of container support pins that can advance/retreat in the horizontal direction from the container and that are forcibly held at a position protruding from a front surface of the container support. The container supports are configured to lift the container by the container support pins which protrude under a downward step surface formed on the outside of the container. A pin main body of the container support pins protrudes from the front surface and has a flat tip perpendicular to the center axis of the pin main body, and has a tapered shape that increases in diameter toward the flat tip and is thicker toward the end.
SIDAS - SPREADER IMPACT DAMAGE AVOIDANCE SYSTEM
Embodiments of this document provides improved safety logic for a mobile container handler of the reach stacker or top pick type. The improved logic involves limitations surrounding the hoist function of the machine subsequent to attaching to a shipping container. This improvement addresses damage to the container spreader caused by abrupt joystick hoist inputs by the operator immediately subsequent to attaching onto a shipping container. Due to space between the spreader arms and spreader body, which is so designed to facilitate movement of the arms inside the spreader body, sudden vertical movement of the spreader results in impact forces being exerted on various parts of the spreader body and spreader arms. These impacts accelerate fatigue leading to premature catastrophic failure of the spreader body and/or spreader arms' structural steel.
Side lift spreader
A side lift spreader (1) for handling empty containers (6), and a method for adjusting a main frame (10) of an inverted side lift spreader. The inverted side lift spreader (1) comprises a main carriage (8) which is connectable to a lifting device (2) to be movable along a front side (39) of a mast (4) of the lifting device (2), the main frame (10) being carried by and sideways movable with respect to the main carriage (8), and main frame guiding means (27) for guiding a movement of the main frame (27) comprises at least two links (30, 31, 32, 33), one first portion (52, 56, 60, 64) of each link (30, 31, 32, 33) being connected to the main frame (10) and one second portion (54, 58, 62, 66) of each link (30, 31, 32, 33) being connected to the main carriage (8). The second portions (54, 58, 62, 66) of the links (30, 31, 32, 33) are arranged at the main carriage (8) at respective points of attachments (76, 78, 80, 82) which are located, in use of the spreader (1), at an opposite side (84) of the mast (4) compared to the front side (39).
