The present invention relates to a particulate filter, in particular a particulate filter for use in an emission treatment system of an internal combustion engine. The particulate filter provides an advantageous combination of low back pressure and high fresh filtration efficiency.

The exhaust gas purification device includes a substrate, a first catalyst layer, and a second catalyst layer. The substrate includes an upstream end and a downstream end. The first catalyst layer is disposed on a surface of the partition wall in an upstream region including the upstream end of the substrate. The second catalyst layer is disposed inside the partition wall in a downstream region including the downstream end of the substrate. The first catalyst layer contains a first metal catalyst and alumina-zirconia composite oxide. The second catalyst layer contains a second metal catalyst.

The present invention relates to a diesel oxidation catalyst comprising a substrate and a wash-coat comprising a first layer and a second layer, wherein the substrate has a substrate length, a front end and a rear end, the washcoat comprising the first layer comprising a first metal oxide and comprising a platinum group metal supported on a metal oxide support material; the second layer comprising a second metal oxide and comprising one or more of an oxidic compound of vanadium, an oxidic compound of tungsten and a zeolitic material comprising one or more of Fe and Cu; wherein the first layer is at least partially disposed directly on the substrate, or is at least partially disposed directly on an intermediate layer which is disposed directly on the substrate over the entire length of the substrate, on x % of the length of the substrate from the front end of the substrate, and wherein the second layer is at least partially disposed directly on the substrate, or is at least partially disposed directly on the intermediate layer which is disposed directly on the substrate over the entire length of the substrate, on y % of the length of the substrate from the rear end of the substrate, wherein x is in the range of from 25 to 75 and y is in the range of from 25 to 75 and wherein x+y is in the range of from 95 to 105, wherein the intermediate layer comprises alumina.

Exhaust gas purification catalyst

The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst including an alkaline earth metal supported in a highly dispersed state on a porous carrier. A catalyst layer of the exhaust gas purification catalyst provided by the invention has an alkaline earth metal-supporting region including a porous carrier, a catalyst metal belonging to the platinum group, and a sulfate of at least one type of alkali earth metal supported on the porous carrier. In a cross-section of this region, a Pearson correlation coefficient R.sub.Ae/M is at least 0.5 as calculated using α and β for each pixel obtained by carrying out area analysis by FE-EPMA under conditions of pixel size of 0.34 μm×0.34 μm, and measured pixel number 256×256, and by measuring the characteristic X-ray intensity (α:cps) of the alkaline earth metal element (Ae) and the characteristic X-ray intensity (β:cps) of the main constituent element of the inorganic compound constituting the porous carrier for each pixel.

Tail gas treatment catalyst, preparation method therefor and use thereof

Disclosed in the present invention is a tail gas treatment catalyst. The catalyst consists of a carrier, a first catalyst, and a second catalyst. The first catalyst and the second catalyst are provided on both ends of the carrier. The first catalyst can purify pollutants in tail gas. The second catalyst can purify a byproduct, ammonia, obtained by the purification by the first catalyst and pollutants that are not completely purified by the first catalyst. The second catalyst is of a double-layer structure; the lower layer consists of an oxygen storage material, aluminum oxide, and a second active component; the second active component is a composition of Pt and Pd, or a composition of Ce, Fe, Ni and Cu; the upper layer consists of a molecular sieve and a third active component; the third active component is Cu or a composition of Cu and Fe. The tail gas treatment catalyst of the present invention has high purification treatment efficiency, and can significantly reduce the emissions of CH.sub.4, CO, and NO.sub.x in the tail gas, especially reduce the content of the byproduct, NH.sub.3, so that the tail gas can meet China VI emission standards.

The present disclosure is directed to an emission treatment system for NO.sub.x abatement in an exhaust stream of an ammonia-fueled engine, the emission treatment system including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst disposed on a substrate in fluid communication with the exhaust stream, an oxidation catalyst disposed on a substrate positioned either upstream or downstream of the SCR catalyst and in fluid communication with the exhaust stream and the SCR catalyst, and optionally, one or more adsorption components disposed on a substrate positioned upstream and/or downstream of the SCR catalyst and in fluid communication with the exhaust stream and the SCR catalyst, the adsorption component chosen from low temperature NO.sub.x adsorbers (LT-NA), low temperature ammonia adsorbers (LT-AA), low temperature water vapor adsorbers (LT-WA), and combinations thereof. The disclosure further provides a related method of treatment of an exhaust gas.

The present invention relates to a particulate filter which comprises a wall-flow filter of length L and two different catalytically active coatings Y and Z, wherein the wall flow filter comprises channels E and A that extend in parallel between a first and a second end of the wall-flow filter and are separated by porous walls which form the surfaces O.sub.E and O.sub.A, respectively, and wherein the channels E are closed at the second end and the channels A are closed at the first end. The invention is characterized in that the coating Y is located in the channels E on the surfaces O.sub.E and the coating Z is located in the porous walls.
