METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING INSECTS
Provided herein are methods and compositions for modulating gene expression in insects by administering a composition comprising an RNA effector molecule and a delivery agent. Methods are provided for controlling pest populations by inhibiting insect growth, development, survival, reproduction and/or viability. Also provided herein are methods for treating or preventing disease in an insect caused by a pathogen or by external factors (e.g., pollution, environment, stress, weather, etc.).
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING SAME FOR INCREASING RESISTANCE OF INFECTED MOSQUITOES
A method of enhancing resistance of a mosquito to a pathogen is disclosed. The method comprising administering to a mosquito an isolated nucleic acid agent comprising a nucleic acid sequence which specifically downregulates an expression of at least one mosquito or pathogen gene wherein a product of said mosquito or pathogen gene participates in infection and/or growth of the pathogen in the mosquito.
BROAD SPECTRUM PEST REPELLENT COMPOSITIONS AND PEST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The present invention provides compositions and methods for the control and management of wildlife populations (including domesticated animals) and pests such as birds including geese, deer and other herbivore such as rabbits, ground hogs, raccoons, moose and elk, tunneling animals such as moles, voles and gophers and insects, carnivores and other organisms. Specifically provided are geraniol oil-based formulations which may be applied to natural or artificial surfaces. Also provided are pest control systems incorporating the use of repellent or attractant formulations.
COMPOSITIONS FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL AND USES OF SAME
A composition-of-matter for mosquito control is provided. The composition comprises a cell which comprises an exogenous naked dsRNA which specifically down-regulates expression of a gene being endogenous to a mosquito or which specifically down-regulated expression of a gene being endogenous to a mosquito pathogen. Further provided is a composition-of-matter for mosquito control, comprising a cell comprising a nucleic acid larvicide. Also provided are methods of producing and using the compositions.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING SAME FOR CONTROLLING PATHOGENICALLY INFECTED MOSQUITOES
A method of controlling a pathogenically infected mosquito is disclosed. The method comprising administering to a larva of a mosquito an isolated nucleic acid agent comprising a nucleic acid sequence which specifically downregulates an expression of at least one mosquito pathogen resistance gene product of the mosquito, wherein downregulation of the expression of the at least one mosquito pathogen resistance gene in the larvae renders an adult stage of the mosquito lethally susceptible to the pathogen, thereby controlling the pathogenically infected mosquito.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING SAME FOR REDUCING RESISTANCE TO MOSQUITO LARVICIDES
A method of enhancing larvicide susceptibility in a mosquito larva is provided. The method comprising introducing into the mosquito larva an isolated nucleic acid agent comprising a nucleic acid sequence which specifically reduces the expression of at least one larvicide resistance gene product of the larva, thereby enhancing larvicide susceptibility in said mosquito larva.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING PATHOGEN-INDUCED CITRUS GREENING
The present invention, in some embodiments thereof, relates to methods for enhancing fitness of pathogen-infected plants, and, more particularly, but not exclusively, to methods of using RNA interference for modulation of plant-pathogen resistance response gene expression. In particular, the present invention provides compositions and methods for enhancing host plant fitness and fruit yield and quality following Candidatus Liberibacter spp infection and, specifically, Candidatus Liberibacter spp infection in citrus plants and trees, as in Huang Long Bing.
Animal attractant system
Animal attractant compositions, devices, systems and methods that can be deployed to attract game animals, such as deer by stimulating several of the animal's senses to attract animals to a desired location. The invention can use a combination of ultraviolet brighteners for visual interest and one or more of deer urine based scents, foods, mineral or salt. The invention capitalizes on the link between many animals' ability to see ultraviolet light with their desire to visualize urine territory markers left by other animals of the same species.
Natural edible cleaning composition
A cleaning solution, composition, and portable cleaner are provided that is all natural, safe, non-toxic, edible, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, deodorizing, and further includes a pleasant fragrance and taste. In addition, the cleaning composition can be free from sugar, alcohol, surfactants, and other harmful or harsh ingredients. In addition, the cleaning composition allows for quick cleaning of any type of object that may be placed in the mouth, such as pacifiers, toys, candy, eating utensils, musical instruments, and mouth-pieces, among others.
Bait composition
Disclosed herein are embodiments of a feral hog control system including bait comprising a carrier material and an amount of warfarin, wherein the amount of warfarin is not greater than about 0.01% by weight of the bait. Further disclosed herein are embodiments of a selective access device for permitting selective access to the bait when the bait is disposed within a feeder.
