SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING AND USING MAT THICKNESS AND BALE GROWTH RATE
A system and method for monitoring bale growth rate and mat thickness and controlling baler operations according to the monitoring of bale growth rate and mat thickness. A baler includes sensors and a control system that uses sensor output as input for its processes. The controller is configured to determine a value of a physical attribute in an operation of a baler based on data received from a sensor. Also, the controller is configured to estimate a mat thickness or a bale growth rate based on the determined value of the physical attribute. The controller is also configured to control an operation of the baler or an operation of a tow vehicle, configured to tow the baler, based on the estimated mat thickness or bale growth rate.
Agricultural baler pickup with lateral adjustment
An agricultural crop baler (20) includes a baling chamber (44), a crop pickup (26), and an adjustable partition mechanism (28). The crop pickup (26) is upstream from the baling chamber (44) to collect severed crop material and direct a flow of crop material toward the baling chamber. The partition mechanism is located between the crop pickup and the baling chamber to control the flow of crop material from the crop pickup to the baling chamber. The partition mechanism (28) includes a wall assembly (68) that at least partly defines a crop passage (76) extending along a crop-flow direction between the crop pickup (26) and the baling chamber (44). The wall assembly (68) includes a shiftable wall (74a, b) that is shiftable transversely to the crop-flow direction to adjustably vary the crop passage and thereby the flow of crop material to the baling chamber (44).
External belt guide for round baler
A round baler is provided. The baler includes a bale forming chamber having a belt to form a bale of crop material. The baler also includes a wrap feed system. The baler includes a belt guide coupled to the baler so as to be external to the bale forming chamber. The belt guide includes an inwardly facing surface substantially parallel to the belt. The belt guide includes a protrusion extending inwardly towards the bale forming chamber. The protrusion is positioned adjacent a side of the belt. The belt guide is configured to sandwich wrap material between the belt and the belt guide.
External belt guide for round baler
A belt guide for a baler having a bale forming chamber with at least one belt to form a bale of crop material includes a guide. The guide includes a guide protrusion that extends inwardly toward the bale forming chamber proximate an edge of the at least one belt. The belt guide is coupled to the baler external to the bale forming chamber.
AUXILIARY PRESSURE CIRCUIT FOR A ROUND BALER
An auxiliary pressure source is provided in the baler hydraulic system of a round baler. During a round bale formation operation and/or during a bale wrapping or tying operation hydraulic pressure provided to the tensioning cylinders of the baler may be periodically boosted above that normally permitted by the high pressure relief valve of the baler hydraulic system.
Guiding device and baler
An agricultural baler includes a frame, a pressing belt operable to form a pressed bale in a pressing chamber, and a wrapping device operable to supply a wrapping material. A guide is disposed adjacent to and extends along the pressing belt. The guide leads the wrapping material to the pressing chamber. The guide includes a front mount and a rear mount. The front mount and the rear mount attach the guide to the frame, and each includes a spring biasing the guide toward the pressing belt. The front mount and the rear mount are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the frame.
Repair, conversion or retrofit kit for a round baler
A repair, conversion or retrofit kit includes at least two continuously closable replacement baler belts which correspond substantially in their combined width to the width of a continuously closed baler belt to be replaced. The replacement baler belts may be closable in a force-fitting and/or form-fitting manner by a connecting means, and the connecting means may be at least partially hook connectors. In some embodiments, the repair, conversion or retrofit kit further includes at least one guide means arranged on the round baler such that at least two replacement baler belts each extend laterally with respect to the at least one guide means, and the at least two replacement baler belts are guided laterally with respect to one another. In some cases, the guide means is an auxiliary guide disk arranged on a rotatable shaft of the round baler.
ROLL BALES TYING MATERIAL FEEDING MECHANISM
A roll bale tying material feeding mechanism, which allows the feeding or supply of material without this latter suffering deviations and/or alterations in its extension from the feeding source to the baler-compaction chamber, ensuring a constant and suitable tying tension that allows keeping the geometry of the rolls throughout time.
Round baling apparatus
A round bale forming apparatus which includes a first bale forming chamber and a second bale forming chamber the second bale forming chamber being positioned rearwardly of the first bale forming chamber; each of the first and second bale forming chambers has components for forming a bale from a crop product; a feeding mechanism which feeds the crop product into the bale forming apparatus in order to form a bale from the crop product; a transfer mechanism for transferring a partially formed bale from the first bale forming chamber into the second bale forming chamber; and a directional mechanism for directing the crop product from the feeding mechanism into the first bale forming chamber or the second bale forming chamber such that a partially formed bale is formable in the first bale forming chamber and a fully formed bale is formable in the second bale forming chamber.
