HYDROFOIL FISHING LURE APPARATUS
Hydrofoil fishing lure apparatus for use with trolling techniques behind a boat. In one embodiment, the hydrofoil fishing lure apparatus includes an artificial lure having a body. A hydrofoil that includes a strut and a lifting surface, with the strut for the hydrofoil being attached to the body of the artificial lure is also included. In some variants, the artificial lure may be modeled after flying fish species. Wing retraction elements may be utilized on the hydrofoil to retract or expand the wings of the flying fish to provide for a more natural presentation. Other variants described herein include fishing lure platforms that include a hydrofoil that allow for the mounting of frozen, live, or other types of artificial baits on the hydrofoil itself.
Novel Fishing Lure
The disclosure provides various components for a fishing lure. These components include a Hard Bodied Ballast Oscillator (“HBBO”) which oscillates around various axes, an HBB with positive lift that rises during retrieval, and a hook for use in a rigid body which, while being fished, remains at least partially inside the body and reliably pointing upwards, and which, when the fish bites, is at least partially exposed. In some cases multiple components may be connected to each other via a stiff wire and designed to maintain, in the water, a particular orientation of the components relative to each other.
FISHING LURE AND METHOD OF SETTING A TRAVEL DEPTH OF THE FISHING LURE
A fishing lure has a lure body with first and second openings. A wing system is disposed within the first opening and is movable within the first opening. A fastener is moveable within the second opening and secures the wing system to the lure body. Because the wing system is movable in the first opening, the angle of attack of the wing is adjustable and the lure can be set for various depth levels without using additional equipment such as lead weights and or planners.

Other variants described herein include fishing lure platforms that include a hydrofoil that allow for the mounting of frozen, live, or other types of artificial baits on the hydrofoil itself.
AUTONOMOUS BAIT
An autonomous, artificial bait aims to simulate the movements of natural baits. The autonomous bait may be designed to appear as a natural bait such as a crawfish, shrimp, worm, or minnow. The autonomous bait includes a cavity in which a gas producing engine may be received. The gas producing engine includes a gas producing agent that produces gas when it interacts with water. That way, when water enters the gas producing engine, gas may be produced that interacts with the autonomous bait to cause movement of the bait that simulates the movements of a natural bait it aims to imitate.
Glide and Leap System for Fishing Lure
A glide and leap system for fishing lure includes a floating lure, a channel, a first weight, and a compression spring. The floating lure includes a head section and a tail section as the head section and the tail section are oppositely positioned of each other about a transverse plane of the floating lure. The channel is internally integrated into the head section and concentrically positioned along a sagittal plane of the floating lure. The channel is angularly oriented from a frontal plane of the floating lure to the transverse plane at an acute angle. The compression spring is positioned within the channel and positioned adjacent to the transverse plane. The first weight is adjacently positioned to the compression spring and the frontal plane as the first weight is slidably positioned within the channel.

MAGNETIC WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR A FISHING LURE
A weight distribution system for a fishing lure with front and rear ends includes a cavity within the fishing lure having a long axis parallel to a long axis of the fishing lure; a movable weight freely movable within and along the long axis of the cavity; a weight magnet associated with the movable weight and having a positive pole and a negative pole; a rear magnet mounted adjacent to a rear end of the cavity and having a positive pole and a negative pole; and wherein the rear magnet and the weight magnet are arranged such that their respective like poles face one another to exert a repulsive force biasing the movable weight away from the rear magnet and the rear end of the fishing lure. A fishing lure including the weight distribution system is also disclosed.
FISHING LURE
A fishing lure that is configured to have the exterior thereof altered wherein the exterior can be provided in a different color or have alternate surface element features. The invention includes a body wherein the body includes at least one hook member and an attachment member. The fishing lure includes a housing wherein the housing is configured to be surroundably mounted to the body. The housing includes a first portion and a second portion that are releasably coupled so as to surroundably mount the housing to provide an alternate exterior appearance of the fishing lure. The housing is mateably shaped to the body with the first portion and second portion having a cavity so as to be able to receive approximately half of the body therein. The housing is provided in a different color and can include alternate surface elements so as to alter the appearance of the fishing lure.
FISHING LURE
A buoyant plug-type fishing lure includes a cavity adapted to accept a variety of water dispersible materials such as freeze-dried worms, sodium-bicarbonate or chum that are intended to impart lively random motion to the lure and provide aromatic inducement for game fish to strike. Diving characteristics and buoyancy of the lure are variable depending on the lure body shape, and the material selected.
